76ers / TBlazers
( to add to grizzle bees idea)

Sixers get: McCollum
Blazers get: Noel

I am remaining positive and giving the Sixers another year. The rebuild was set back 2 years with the embiid pick, and if the following things don't happen Hinkie needs to go.
1. Sixers MUST get the #1 pick and get Ben Simmons.
2. Sixers MUST turn the Lakers pick into a very productive player, either through a trade or have it convey with a pick in the 4-6 range.
3. Joel Embiid MUST pan out and become worthy of the #3 pick in the draft.
4. Sixers MUST get someone who can shoot. This is ridiculous how bad a scoring team they are.
5. Get a Point Guard!

The Sixers are not in a position to have a guy like Noel. He is a beast, and I love how he plays, but he is a luxury right now. Philly has a surplus of bigs, and Portland has no bigs of Noels value but 2 high scoring guards. Both teams would love to keep the current player, but the trade makes sense for both franchises. Both teams have tons of cap space next year, and a combo of Lillard and Noel could be fun to watch for the next decade. And for Philly, the Murray/McCollum backcourt could be a exactly what they need.
C : okafor, embiid
Pf: Embiid, Saric, Holmes, Wood
Sf: Simmons, Saric, Covington
Sg: McCollum, stauskas, Covington
Pg: Murray, Marshall, McConnell.

Honestly, I don't see Noel as much/any of an upgrade over mason plumlee. Noel's ceiling is higher, but not a lot. Also Portland has vonleh and Leonard, who are two young, athletic bigs with upside. Portland doesn't need another young big man, they need wings. Also, I wouldn't trade McCollum right now, he looks like a great compliment to lillard.

Yes. Lillard and McCollum would become one of the most explosive guard combo for years to come.

Sixers pass. Rather wait on Noel development wise.

Ben Miller: I think Noel is considered, league wide, as having a much higher upside then plumlee. I think you are undervaluing Noel tremendously. Being a Sixers fan, I have watched him a ton. He's is only 21, already an elite defender and solid rebounder. See how any gm's would trade Noel for plumper. I'm betting zero.

I agree jvoug, Noel has more value and higher upside than plumlee (though to me, not as much as most would say) and I'd take Noel if offered both. Saying that, I don't see him as enough of an upside to get rid of a 20 ppg guard when Portland already has high upside bigs that are young. To me, the ceiling of McCollum and Noel is pretty similar, but McCollum is the clear better player right now.
