Celtics finally gets Boogie in this Trade.

Celtics trade: Lee, Zeller + Nets 2016 Pick and Celtics 2016 Pick

Kings trade: Cousins and Acy

It works for both. Kings are far away from the play offs and need a new start.

Celtics need a star - BOOGIE. And Brad Stevens will make him a better player. and person.

I think the Celtics will wait until draft night to trade for boogie. If the pick is 1-2, they'll keep it, if 3-5 they'll package it with their own and some young talent (rozier, smart, olynyk etc) for him.

Yeah, the celtics can wait all they want, the kings aren't going to sit there and go ok, make sure that we aren't getting a really good deal for the top center in the leauge. We'll wait around, reject other offers, just to make sure that this works out best for you, not for us. News flash to celtics fans, there are many many other teams that want Cousins. Obviously most can't offer the same type of package, BUT, that doesn't mean they have the leverage to force the kings to wait. Come on now.

Agreed pizza, but I think the Celtics would rather miss cousins than give up the #1 pick for him. And honestly, how many teams are lining up to give up he premium price the Kings want for cousins (and have the assets)? I see maybe a hand full.

@BenMiller No team in the NBA would rather "miss Cousins".

30 Nov 2015 18:41:51
CWJ: there are teams that wouldn't want him at all, for almost any price. He's a head case, there are teams that wouldn't take the gamble on him. He's also never won anything, who knows if he can actually handle being the star of a playoff team. I'd take the #1 pick this year over cousins without question.

Pizza, you're wrong. Again.

ummmm they'll wait till draft night because kings aren't begging for a trade asap?

2 things. the most comparable type of trade in recent years would be the Kevin Love trade. The Wolves got the 1 overall (considered about the same potential as simmons), as well as a bevy of other assets. Cousins has a more complete game (defense matters) and the maturity issue appears to be getting better. I fail to think there are teams out there that would say no to having Cousins on their team, especially as you say. for almost any price. Also, Kevin Love never won, and he had at least some weapons around him. The Celtics will want to wait to see if its the number 1, but the celtics don't have the bargaining power in this trade, because many other teams would swoop in for Cousins if possible.

As to BHC. you said Smart is looking like westbrook, while Noel has the potential to possible grow into Dalembert. So yeahhhh, I'm perfectly fine being wrong in your eyes after that hysterical evaluation.

"A bevy of other assets" was actually a crappy player and a late first. The love trade was essentially Wiggins and a first for love. I'm not sure how you see cousins as this great defender, but he's not, he's lazy and even when he is trying, he's average.

Maybe "at any price" was over the top, but if you said I could have cousins on my team for free right now, I'd start shopping him immediately. I don't want him on my team, especially in a young locker room. I also think this is all pointless anyway, the Kings won't trade cousins before the draft anyway, they won't give up yet. Maybe by the draft he'll start to get shopped around. At that point, if Boston has the #1 pick, I think it's a mistake to trade it for cousins.

And what teams are going to swoop in and land cousins? I see the lakers. Maybe Miami? Boston definitely. Who else has assets and thinks they can retain him?

01 Dec 2015 18:50:57
They received a crappy player, a late first, AND thaddeous young as well. Cousins isn't that lazy, not sure where you get that from. Even still, if he is average, that is worlds ahead of Love.

I just found the comment to be entirely over dramatic. Cousins is a very desirable player. he's young, productive, and if you actually surround him with solid players, he can definitely win.

You just need 1 or 2 teams. You rally don't think there are a lot of teams that will try? You don't think Miami and Lakers have the assets? You don't think LA of all teams will pay what they need to instead of just wait and see if they can finagle a better deal? Come on man, don't undervalue Cousins.

Pizza has been spot on. Cousins should net WELL over Love for all the reasons mentioned AND he has a more favorable deal AND more years on it AND he is a better defender AND he anchors down low like Love couldn't. Love shoots better.
