Theo Ratliff returned to the Philadelphia 76ers Wednesday, 7 years after he was traded from the team during its run to the NBA Finals. The 35 year old Ratliff played 26 games for Minnesota and Detroit and appeared in 12 of the Pistons' 17 playoff games. Terms of Ratliff's deal with the Sixers were not disclosed.

Andre Iguodala, who helped the Philadelphia 76ers reached the playoffs for the 1st time in 3 years, was rewarded Monday with the official announcement of a 6 year contract worth a reported $80 million. "We felt like he has a very good track record to warrant a contract like that", Sixers president Ed Stefanski said.

By all accounts, the 76ers' Andre Iguodala did well. Multiple sources said reports as "reasonably accurate" of an agreement in principle for 6 seasons and $80 million, that included an more $5 million in incentive clauses and an opt out clause after the 5th season.

Philadelphia 76ers center Jason Smith tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during an NBA-approved camp in Las Vegas. Sixers president Ed Stefanski mentioned there is no contact when Smith was hurt Wednesday.

The 76ers re-signed guard Louis Williams Monday, keeping a key member of Philadelphia's 1st playoff team in 3 years. The deal was supposedly worth more than $25 million over 5 years. Williams, who was a restricted free agent, averaged 11.5 points in 23 minutes per game last season.

The Philadelphia 76ers signed free agent guard Kareem Rush Tuesday to help increase the team's 3 point shooting. Terms of the deal were not released. The 6 foot 6, 215 pound Rush has averaged 6.8 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 314 games in 5 NBA seasons. Last season with the Pacers, he averaged 8.3 points, a career best 2.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 21.

We all knew the 76ers were negotiating to sign a few guards. However, we did not know about this one. Not Andre Iguodala or Lou Williams, their restricted free agents. Royal Ivey. The Sixers have reached an agreement with the 6-4 backcourt player, who spent last season with the Bucks and the 1st 3 seasons of his career with the Atlanta Hawks. Ivey, 26, will not officially sign a minimum-salary contract until Monday, which is thought to be for 2 years and include a significant guarantee.

Marreese Speights, taken by the Philadelphia 76ers with the 16th overall pick in June's NBA draft, signed with the team Friday. Speights, a 6 foot 10 forward out of Florida, will earn about $2.6 million in the 1st 2 years of the contract.
