We all knew the 76ers were negotiating to sign a few guards. However, we did not know about this one. Not Andre Iguodala or Lou Williams, their restricted free agents. Royal Ivey. The Sixers have reached an agreement with the 6-4 backcourt player, who spent last season with the Bucks and the 1st 3 seasons of his career with the Atlanta Hawks. Ivey, 26, will not officially sign a minimum-salary contract until Monday, which is thought to be for 2 years and include a significant guarantee.

The Bucks' signing of backup guard Royal Ivey would signal the Heat landing current Milwaukee guard Charlie Bell, whom Miami signed to an offer sheet. By signing Ivey, who can play both guard positions, the Bucks maybe bracing for Bell's departure.

Guard Royal Ivey signed a one year contract with the Bucks Tuesday, a day after Milwaukee backup point guard Charlie Bell signed an offer sheet with the Heat. The Bucks have a week to match Bell's 5 year, $18.5 million offer and have not ruled out re-signing Bell, even though he mentioned Monday he did not want to return to Milwaukee.
