The Clippers waived forward Ruben Patterson Thursday, hours after he helped them beat the Nets in New Jersey for the 1st time in nearly 10 years. Patterson and Tim Thomas led a 16-5 run that put the Clippers ahead for good in the 3rd quarter of Wednesday night's 91-82 win.

Somehow, the L.A Clippers keep winning. Already missing Elton Brand and Shaun Livingston due to injuries, the Clippers lost top scorer Cuttino Mobley and reserve Ruben Patterson in the 1st quarter Wednesday night against the Pacers.

The Clippers signed self-proclaimed "Kobe Stopper" Ruben Patterson Wednesday. Patterson is known for his defense and energy. He once referred to himself as a "Kobe Stopper", in reference to Kobe Bryant, however has since stayed away from the nickname.

Ruben Patterson, the free agent forward who averaged a career high 14.7 points with the Bucks last season, signed a contract with the L.A Clippers. No terms were announced. "We are thrilled to add Ruben to our team", Clippers vice president of basketball operations Elgin Baylor mentioned in a statement issued Wednesday.
