Scot Pollard was in the building Tuesday night and that night, a witness to one of the worst-officiated games in recent NBA playoff history. No debate necessary. The box score, and the videotape, continues to expose the infamous Game 6. However, now, in a manner of speaking, so does Tim Donaghy.

If Tim Donaghy's latest allegations are true, Kobe Bryant won his last championship with the the aid of an NBA conspiracy. And Scot Pollard is still ringless because some guys in suits determined it could be that way.

The rest of the Boston Celtics roster is starting to take shape. Continuing a busy offseason in which the team brought in All Stars Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen to play with Paul Pierce, the Celtics signed position players Scot Pollard and Eddie House as free agents.

Preferring to wait until the deal is officially signed, Danny Ainge declined to comment yesterday on why the Celtics tracked Scot Pollard. Undoubtedly, in addition to his size, the Celtics found Pollard's rebounding ability and intensity and energy appealing.
