Lacking depth in the frontcourt, the Charlotte Bobcats were depending on Sean May's healthy return from knee surgery to fill the gaping hole at power forward. After watching an unfit May lumber through 8 exhibition games collecting more fouls (22) than rebounds (21), coach Larry Brown thinks they have a problem.

The Charlotte Bobcats' search for a big man finished Friday when they acquired center Nazr Mohammed from the Pistons in exchange for center Primoz Brezec and forward Walter Herrmann. Mohammed, averaging 3.3 points and 3.5 rebounds in 21 games for the Pistons, will provide the Bobcats depth they have been missing since Sean May underwent season ending knee surgery during training camp.

Charlotte Bobcats part-owner Michael Jordan returned to his hometown Friday to get his 1st glimpse of the team he remade in the offseason. Jordan arrived to learn he could be shopping for big men after forward Sean May's decision to have season ending knee surgery.
