The L.A Clippers mentioned Wednesday that they had renounced their rights to Shaun Livingston, the recuperating guard who is an unrestricted free agent, and 4 other players. The other players are Dan Dickau, Boniface Ndong, Smush Parker and James Singleton.

The Clippers are interested in signing veteran point guard Smush Parker, waived recently by the Heat, for the rest of the season, Clippers sources said. The Clippers have targeted another NBA veteran point guard since purchasing out Sam Cassell's contract last month and after Ronald "Flip" Murray passed them over to sign with the Pacers.

The Heat and guard Smush Parker remain at a stalemate over a contract buyout after Parker discarded the Heat's latest offer, coach Pat Riley mentioned Sunday. The Heat and Parker had until 11:59 p.m. Saturday to reached a deal to release Parker which could have allowed him to be eligible for the playoffs had he cleared waivers and re-signed with another team.

Heat guard Smush Parker's agent mentioned Tuesday that he and the Heat have ''discussed the idea'' of a buyout. However, Pat Riley mentioned he still thinks Miami might trade Parker, who was banished from the team for 2 months. Riley mentioned Parker must 'clean up his legal matter'.
