The Nuggets will also continue to look for suitors for Chucky Atkins and Steven Hunter and are willing to part with a draft pick in the process. If that happens, the Nuggets could very well be under the luxury tax threshold in advance of February's trade deadline.

I have talked to a couple people, one from the Pacers camp and another from the Nuggets camp, this morning and both sides said point guard Jamaal Tinsley has not been traded to Denver for point guard Chucky Atkins and center Steven Hunter.

Pacers president Larry Bird downplayed the report, which appeared in Friday's New York Post, saying the team would not comment on "trade rumors" involving any of its players.

Add another name to the list of Nuggets players who are attempting to discard nagging injuries by the season opener. Guard Allen Iverson was injured in practice Wednesday, suffering a left quadriceps contusion when he collided with center Steven Hunter.

The 76ers filled their largest off season require yesterday by acquiring power forward Reggie Evans in a 4 player deal with the Nuggets. Evans was acquired along with the rights to forward Ricky Sanchez for forward Bobby Jones and forward/center Steven Hunter.

The Nuggets sent forward Reggie Evans and the draft rights to forward Ricky Sanchez to the Philadelphia 76ers Monday in exchange for swingman Steven Hunter and forward Bobby Jones. The Sixers were not finished, agreeing to terms with free agent Calvin Booth.
