Travis Outlaw ponders his place with the Blazers' upswing. He has experienced enough success, last season hitting game winning shots at Memphis and Atlanta and finishing 9th in the 6th man of the year voting, that he thinks he would one day be an All Star. However, he wonders whether that possible will be stifled on a team built around Brandon Roy, LaMarcus Aldridge and Greg Oden.

The Portland Trail Blazers brushed off the loss of their leading scorer and routed the Wizards. Martell Webster had 23 points, Travis Outlaw added 20 and the Trail Blazers beat the Wizards 102-82 Tuesday after Brandon Roy left with a groin injury. "It is always sad to see some of your guys go down", mentioned Webster, who was coming off a 22 point game.

As the final seconds in overtime expired, it became clear that both the Atlanta Hawks and Portland Trail Blazers were content to allow Travis Outlaw take the last shot. That was all he needed to know.

At the end, the Portland Trail Blazers depended on Travis Outlaw to end a long, bad stretch of road. Outlaw scored 21 points, that included the winning 6 foot runner as the buzzer sounded, to give the Trail Blazers their 1st road win of the season, 106-105 over the Memphis Grizzlies Monday.

Restricted free agent forward Travis Outlaw is staying with the Portland Trail Blazers. Outlaw, a 4 year veteran, signed a 3 year deal, the team said Wednesday. Terms of the agreement were not released.
