Zach Randolph's start has enhanced his trade value, with one of the teams that tracked him last summer, the Clippers, interested again. A league source said the Clips are down on center Chris Kaman, but his contract (three more years after this one) does not fit the Knicks' wish for deals that expire after next season, so another team would be necessary to make something happen.

The Nuggets, who twice before considered deals for Zach Randolph, are thought to be keeping an eye on his display this season, as are the Cavaliers and Chicago Bulls.

The 1st quality win of the Mike D'Antoni era came the way the New York Knicks used to win games, with defense. Jamal Crawford scored 32 points, and the Knicks toughened up defensively in the 2nd half to end the Jazz's undefeated start with a 107-99 win on Sunday. Zach Randolph had 25 points and 14 rebounds for the Knicks (4-2), who moved 2 games over.

3 nagging issues confronted Mike D'Antoni from the moment he stepped off the plane last spring and plunged himself into the Knicks' quagmire. Their names were Stephon Marbury, Eddy Curry and Zach Randolph.

Stephon Marbury is still here and perhaps will be for a while longer. Zach Randolph is still here and reportedly was never close to going anywhere. The New York Knicks will open training camp next week with mostly the same roster that was an embarrassment on and off the court whilst going 23-59 last season.

For the 2nd time in this offseason, trade talks involving Zach Randolph have failed to come to fruition. Knicks president Donnie Walsh was most recently engaged in talks with the Memphis Grizzlies, however multiple sources informed that the Grizzlies have since reconsidered and decided to pass on Randolph.

Most of the Knicks' top rotation players from last season were scrimmaging at the team's training center. The group has included Jamal Crawford, Eddy Curry, David Lee, Nate Robinson, Jared Jeffries, Wilson Chandler and Zach Randolph, as well as the free agent pickup Chris Duhon. The most notable absence was Stephon Marbury, who expects to be waived before the season.

Donnie Walsh is on the verge of correcting one of Isiah Thomas' largest financial mistakes. Walsh, the Knicks president, said Saturday that the Knicks are in talks with the Memphis Grizzlies about a probable deal for Zach Randolph, the veteran power forward who does not fit into Mike D'Antoni's up-tempo offense.

Donnie Walsh's summer long quest to trade Zach Randolph's cap-killing contract is back on full tilt with serious talks with Memphis in a proposal that would save the Knicks $10 million in the critical LeBron James' free agent summer of 2010.
