Boston is not going to give three rotation pieces, the probable top overall pick in this draft and two more No. 1s for Love and O'Quinn.

It's BK 18 not 17, a lot can happen in a year lol, they might be out of the top 6.
And by the way that pick has a 25% to be number 1 so 75% it isn't, so in no way is it a "probable" outcome to me 1/ 4 is unlikely bordering on very unlikely.

And Rozier is only in roatation because AB is out, something's got to give mate, the Cs would only stunt the growth of our pick smart and Rozier with I! All competing for pg minutes.

Knicks not trading Hernangomez and O'Quinn and Melo and getting back next yr 1st.

Rozier is clearly the 3rd string PG in Boston, Green is not playing and both Love and O'Quinn are upgrades over AJ and Kelly respectively Supercollider. A pick that could be anywhere between 1 and 10 next year seems like a reasonable piece to give up for those kinds of Upgrades.

If anyone says no it's either the Cavs or Knicks, not Boston.

The Cavs aren't doing that. Rozier and Hernangomez wouldn't be good enough to be in the rotation and they already turned down Love for Melo straight up. Lebron just came out and said the article talking about him pushing for a Melo trade involving Love was garbage.

A lot to give up for Bos to only get Love. Boston takes out the 2 2019 picks. Cleveland is the one that needs to give MORE. LBJ would never be a good GM because he has no idea how to spend other peoples money, he only knows how to manage his money. The trade is based on 2 self centered people
LBJ and Melo. When they move they squeak, so it's time for the squeaky wheels to get greased.

Love is worth way more than Melo. The Cavs aren't receiving enough in this trade billj. If anything the Knicks are getting way to much. Melo is worth 2 first round picks at most. He's old, underperforming, making a ton of money, can only be traded to 3 teams all of which are lukewarm on the idea at best, and he doesn't play defense. Honestly, I think the Cavs would have a hard time giving up Shumpert and Jr. Smith for him.

A few issues with this one. First, the money doesn't work. Things need to be tweaked right off the bat.

The Celtics are getting back too much salary for what they're giving out. Second, for that group the Celtics are sending, they're not getting enough back in just Love. O'Quinn is an OK bench piece, but I'd rather have Hernangomez, and still only give up one of the 2019 picks.

The Cavs are also probably going to want the pick that's left over of those two 2019 picks in addition to something else from NY. NY is getting a LOT in that 2018 Nets pick for pretty much getting rid of the guy they no longer want.

I know Love is worth more than Melo. But for what Boston has to give up to get him is a little steep. Cavs are getting what LBJ wants and that's Melo, all they're giving up is Anderson (toast) and McRae. It's the Knicks who are getting everything. And that's why this trade scenario would never happen.

Cavs gets Melo.
Bos gets Love.
Knicks gets 2018 Boston pick, A Johnson, J Young and a future NYK 2nd rd. pick.
