Wade is going to opt in because he won't be paid nearly as much in free agency, Rondo has a team option and no one is taking him on in a trade, and the Lakers aren't giving up Clarkson for a malcontent has been.

Ya, I don't think Rondo is completely untradeable since he can be viewed as a salary dump especially with his contract not fully guaranteed. However, I think Clarkson is worth more than just a salary dump.

I agree with rkenne_16 Wade is likely to opt in unless he is fine taking a considerable salary cut to join a contender. I don't think any team gives him the money he is getting now and even a salary in the 15-20 mill range I can't think of any natural fit. Only good teams would consider adding a guy Wades age at his price except most of them don't have the salary space to do so. And I don't think he is the difference maker he was any longer so I can't imagine a bad team ponying up that much money hoping he changes their fortunes.

Yeah, I was thinking Rondo had a team option, but it's just a non guaranteed contract. They could move him to help somone else dump cap. I think they would be looking at a protected pick and an aging player on bad contract though not a young player who has value.
