Why would Washington do this without moving Gortat?

They would definitely want to move Gortat, but this would be a pretty solid trade all around if George didn't want to play in OKC anymore. The Wizards NEED to get some sort of frontcourt presence, and Wall and Boogie want to play together. George would be an AMAZING addition to NO to play alongside Davis, Holiday, Playoff Rondo and Mirotic. And OKC needs to get some guys in that know how to play as secondary and tertiary options while still staying in the game. Porter has been the last option half the time on Was, but when he gets his chance, he always steps up.

My only question is if this is possible or not. You're not able to add anything to a sign and trade if I remember correctly. so would this be able to be done in multiple trades financially?

They could switch Gortat and solomon Hill in another trade.
I believe you can't ad another player in a S&T.

But cousins is an upgrade over Porter.
C: Cousins
PF: Morris
SF oubre
Sg: Beal
PG: Wall.

This trade makes sense. I like the Pels with Boogie and AD but i LOVE the Pels with PG13 and AD. If Boogie wants to play alongside fellow ex UK guy Wall then the Wizards look strong also.

I would think that the Wizards would be the ones giving up the draft pick not New Orleans. I know Boogie is coming off an achilles but he is still better the George.
