The Heat have basically came out and said that they aren’t trading Paul for free. It just doesn’t make sense with how he played last year and the years left.

For this season, sure, they're out of luxury tax. But their cap is throttled for the next 4 by taking on Paul. If you're going to screw your cap, you need to get assets out of it.

Thunder will keep Paul and let him expire before giving up a first pick to trade him. Don't think they stretch him either. Gallo expires next year so there not in the tax or need cap over next two offseasons. Like I see thunder doing something like Teague and dieng for Paul and a second round pick. Or for lee and hard away for Paul and a second.
