Timberwolves are already making a playoff run. No need to ruin team chemistry by adding Paul and losing an expiring contract, a guy with only one year left, and draft picks.

Wolves are starting to fade and will probably continue like usual. Thunder are one game out of playoffs now with a new team and extremely tough opening schedule. Thunder don't have to do anything except wait. Teams will have to give up assets to get Thunder players, including Paul.

As many have said before, the Wolves had no interest in Chris Paul when he was on the trading block last time. He has one of the highest per year salaries, and he is old - the Wolves jettisoned all their expiring vets last summer and exclusively signed players Towns age. Moreover, the Wolves want this to be Towns team, and don’t want to bring in an alpha personality who has had issues with teammates in his last two stops. They can”t risk another Jimmy Butler situation.

Congratulations. I can think of no player less likely for the Wolves to trade for than Chris Paul.

If Minnesota wants to keep Karl Anthony towns they will get Paul cause Chris Paul in the playoffs is elite and he will let towns run the show but Minnesota would also be really good and if they fall off and don’t make the playoffs again you are getting exactly what the thunder is trying to do trying to make Phoenix as well as Minnesota superstars pissed off so that they request a trade and then okc comes in with all them picks and go after whatever star wants out and if you get towns or booker 1st you can bet the other one will want to come play there cause they want to be on the same team and okc has the picks to get both of em it’s gunna happen if Phoenix or Minnesota miss the playoffs again no stars are gunna stay on a team where the front office won’t bring in some good help to push for playoffs and try going all in
