Cap doesn't work at all, Portland's sending 54+ million, Detroit is sending 38.

Also, I just don't see how swapping a star for a star helps either team at all. Detroit is still a lower tier east playoff team. And Portland is still a second tier playoff team when fully healthy (unless Simons explodes to being a star I guess) .

That is an absolutely horrible trade. For one Griffin is no where near worth cj at this point of his career and considering health, second the money doesn't work seeing that Detroit would be taking back 55+ million and only giving 35/ 40 mil and last at the very least the picks are going the wrong way.
