Reports are that Ainge won't break up his core, which includes Hayward. If he did it would have to be for a big to answer Giannis or Embiid in a 7 game series. Don't see this one happening.

Celtics don’t need more wings. They need a big. A Noel from okc would fit their needs. A big that sets picks and rebounds protecting the rim.

Would Toronto trade gasol and first in 20 for Thompson of Cavs? Thompson mmight stay to play in hometown.

I think Toronto does that trade if Gasol's hamstring worries them too much. He is pretty important to the flow at both ends of the court and brings things the stat sheet doesn't show. If the Raps are confident that he's healthy they'll ride with him through the playoffs.
If this hamstring problem looks like it's going to last a long while they'd be best to trade him as an injured player and send the salary and a 1st for Thompson. He's probably the best Gasol replacement they could hope for at this time.
