JoeB is probably right too. Hayward is playing great (17, 7 and 4; 39/ 50/ 88 shooting percentages) . And he's a great third option. He's a lot like Klay, he's just too good at being a side kick to let go.

I can't see him getting that little. He wouldn't get less than Brown just got (which means that they likely can't afford to keep their top 4 players long term) .

I think there is mutual interest in Hayward staying long term in Boston. Whether that means he opts out and renegotiates a new deal or plays it out, takes less money or whatever. Only time will tell. One thing i do know, Tatum will get his money.
