There have been a lot of Lowry to 76ers trades lately.
Here's one of them:
TOR:1st pick via GSW
GSW:Simmons
PHI:Lowry

But I hate that for the 76ers. I wouldn't give Simmons for Lowry. Although for the raptors a young lineup of VanVleet/Powell/Anunoby/Siakam/Wiseman would be intriguing.

A better trade would be Horford Thybulle the 22nd pick and the 35th pick plus maybe a future 1st for Lowry.

Thoughts?

I assume Toronto is getting Wiggins in that deal too. I don’t like the Simmons fit in GS, but I’d still do it if I’m them. Great for Toronto. Makes no sense to me for Phili. I like Lowry a lot, but he’s 34 (11 years older than Simmons) . Lowry will start the inevitable decline very soon.

I think your second move is more true to Lowry’s value.

hm, the 76ers give up a young good player who can play almost any position for a player who is only going to be in the league for 3-4 more years, yea no.

I agree. The first trade wasn't my idea, I saw it on a website. The second one is slighty better.

lowry won't be traded and freddy will take over as starter in 2 years. then Raptors retire Lowry's Jersey and they continue to develop players like they did. freddy is a starting PG in this league and learnt from the best. lowry will decline but he's still very good shooter and passer and will continue to be a force. raptors beat bet is to resign all players. and hope to sign a big talent or swing another trade and go all in like they did with Leonard.

On top- there are centers that shoot better than Simmons. He is solid but he is a third player on a championship team.
