If Giannis were to ask out.

Bucks get Brown, Smart, Theis, Williams, Williams and 6 firsts

The Celtics get Giannis, Hill and Lopez (assuming he resigns and it's a deadline deal)

Celtics new lineup

Walker/Hill
Hayward
Tatum/Langford
Giannis/Ojeleye
Lopez/Kanter

The picks are not enough and players are not enough.

If the Bucks turned down that deal, then they would say no to ANY deal. Five rotation players, including three starters, plus 6 No. 1s? How much more could a team give? Doubt the Celtics would even consider that, even as good as Giannis is.

Are you purposefully ignoring the fact that you get a major upgrade at center too Supercollider?

And how do they “lose 3 starters” when there’s 3 of their current starters left on the roster?

Also, can we stop talking about starters like that means something. Look around the league at the starters out there. Smart, Theis, and both Williams aren’t in the top 20 of their positions. They’re all nice role players at best.

If Boston was certain that Giannis and Lopez stay, this makes them the best team in the league by a pretty wide margin to me. The point of draft picks is the make your team the best. 6 firsts to be the best is a smart move.

Collider, that’s a championship caliber team for 3+ years. You get the best player in the league and keep your two best (3 of your top 4) players. You get a top 15 center and a more than qualified replacement for smart. What more could you want out of a trade. Brown and Smart are starting caliber players. Theis is a rotation guy. The Williams are interesting young guys. Brown is really the only high end asset that they’re losing.
