Portland and Philly off season

With the new injury this is a big risk for Portland but probably the only way Philly considers this, but both teams are stuck in the middle and could use a shake up.

Por gets
-Ben Simmons

Philly gets
-CJ
-Simons

Philly finally breaks up this duo that clearly has under preformed while hopefully unlocking embiid's full potential by creating more space and movement with CJ and Simons.

For the blazers this is a bit more bold. Hoping that Gary Trent JR continues to be a starting level SG this give them an elite wing they've been missing for nearly a decade while making them MASSIVE. Spacing could very well be an issue

I don’t see why Portland would want simmons that badly with Lillard. I could see a Simmons-Beal type trade to be more fair in value and a better fit for both teams especially if the wizards get rid of wall in a separate trade.

Ethan, they desperately need versatile wing defenders and Simmons is one of the best.

Rkenne, I agree that they need a wing defender and I also agree that Simmons is among the best in that aspect, but the value of the trade isn’t exactly even given that Simmons is very dependent on having the ball in his hands. The last thing they need is simmons who wouldn’t be able to drive with Nurkic clogging the paint.

If the Blazers were to go after a wing defender, they would want one who is a good shooter off ball and someone who they could get at a cheaper price. Someone like RoCo would be a viable option even though the Rockets would likely not trade him.
