Multiple times i've seen this type of deal here. We all can argue Ben Simmons value right? We have different opinions for me this trade is good for teams involve.

POR-PHI-ORL

POR: Ben Simmons, Evan Fournier, 2nd round pick ORL & PHI

Why? Ben Simmons fits with a star point guard better than center. He and Lillard will be dynamic. They can compensate each other's weakness for sure. The rise of Gary Trent in the bubble is inspiring. He has the potential to be at least 80% of CJ is and with Fournier also coming in, there is still time for him to develop playing 6th man role and eventually be the starting 2. Let Melo come back. I'm seeing improvement in him in becoming a spot up shooter now. Need some bench pieces still to compete better.

pg Lillard-A.Simons
sg Fournier-Trent Jr
sf Anthony-Little
pf Simmons-Hezonja-free agent
ce Nurkic-Collins

PHI: CJ McCollum, Rodney Hood & 1st round pick POR 2020

Why? It is very clear that their composition is not working well. CJ McCollum is a better fit with Philly, they just need to find a point guard to run with him and Embiid, although Milton could be a capable candidate? A big chance of trading one of Horford / Harris plus picks to get one. Simmons value fairly decreases at this point but i think a CJ type of guy can compensate his value well. CJ has the chance to make atleast an all-star team in the east.

pg Milton-Neto-draft pick
sg McCollum-Korkmaz-Hood
sf Richardson-Thybulle
pf Harris-Scott
ce Embiid-Horford-Pelle

ORL: Trevor Ariza (waive?), 1st round pick of POR 2022 (lottery protected)

Why? Simple as getting a good pick for Fournier & a 2nd. It is better than losing him for nothing.

There is another twist and i'm thinking there will be a suggestion of just cutting out Orlando and Portland keep Ariza and the pick but i think Portland should add more shooting if Simmons is entering the City.

Simmons is 2 first round picks "better" than McCollum? Yea, not seeing that.

If he were healthy he probably is. With his health at the state that it’s in, his value definitely drops.

Also, Phili is only getting one first. The other is for Fournier. It’s really two totally separate trades, there’s nothing going between Orlando and Phili.

Overall, I’d probably be fine with this trade. It doesn’t make me excited at all, but it feels like fine value.

I also wouldn’t start Melo. Either go huge with Collins, or smaller with Trent at SF. Personally I side with huge.

Simmons and Philly aren't a great fit. Portland would benefit from him and Philly would love to have a great guard. Trent Jr. is an up and coming NBA starter. Fournier is a nice piece, too.
CJ McCollum is a good locker guy and is due for a starring position. Many nights he was playing better than Dame. A 1st may be a little short and Zach Collins might be better. If I were Portland, I'd want Ben, especially in the West big frontcourt teams.

I'm a blazer fan and love CJ but Simmons is better and more unique. It's a lot easier to replace shooting over all defense player. I think both por and Philly get better and I'd just cut Orlando out of this and start Trent JR.

Simmons can't shoot and is always hurt. Until he can prove he can stay healthy and hit a jump shot, he really doesn't have much value. I would much rather have McCollum straight up.

fournier doesn't worth a first round pick.
