This wouldn't actually happen would it?

Warriors get Schroeder (using the Iggy trade exception)

OKC gets 2021 Wolves pick

***Warriors get richer and add one of (if not the best) sixth men in the league. He can carry the bench and fits neatly within that ~$17M trade exception from the Iggy trade.

***That Wolves pick was #1 this year. Let's assume they get better this next season, but that pick could still be super valuable in a good draft class. OKC gets worse today for more ammo at the rebuild tomorrow.

Pick is more valueable than Schröder.

I agree, but Schroeder solves so much of their bench scoring. Does a roster of Curry, Klay, Draymond, Schroeder, their #2 pick, etc. actually not contend? Wouldn't they be the favorite? I'd rather have another championship over another draft pick.

They can get better player or cheaper player with that pick. We are talking about wolves. That pick will be top 7-8.

I just don’t see any way GS increases their cap hit this offseason with the cap potentially decreasing and revenue definitely decreasing.

Agree with BMiller. The cap being lowered and less revenue per team is going to make teams much more fiscally responsible this year with very few teams increasing their payrolls. Should open back up next year when the cap is projected to raise.
