Not good for Indy. There is no significant improvement there.

Turner's stock is high for the moment and J Grant is a good fit.

The sabonis- turner combo is good but doesn't get us into the finals.

Adding Grant in place of Turner isn't getting you to the finals either.

Turner > Grant. and it is not even close. I know a lot of you look at stats and think otherwise. But Grant is not going to get the same usage rate he does in Detroit. He would probably be the 5th option here in Indy and his averages would be closer to his averages in Denver. Indy is also losing their defensive anchor, Grant can not replace that. This is just a bad trade for the Pacers.

Big fan or myles turner but grant is a better fit for indy given their need for a more cohesive front court offensively. He gives them more versatility. Justin holiday is key for them especially while warrens out.

Grant is essentially Warren on Indy.

I like Grant as a player but Indy doesn't need offensive help. At full strength, they have 4 20 ppg scorers. I just don't see Grant having enough offensive gain as a 5th scoring option that offsets Turners defensive loss. The defensive rating is like 6th or 7th when Turner is on the court and drops to 25th or 26th when he is off. Do you really see Grant filling that void? Turner warps offenses, Grant. meh.
