Pelicans- Beal
Wash-naw-Hayes-hart-j. Johnson waive. Combination of 4 first round picks.

Pels form a big 3 of Zion-Ingram-Beal.

Pretty good value for Beal imo. They might be looking to make a big move to speed up the process.
Good trade idea.

Johnson can not be traded since he is a pending UFA.

Josh Hart can not be traded since he is a pending RFA.

Yah you can trade the rights to Josh hart so yah he can be traded.

I think the pelicans do this and maybe add 3 first round picks to get a better player but not trade Ingram for picks and a high ceiling player.

You can’t trade the rights to someone. You can S&T them, but then they can’t be traded with anyone else.

Someone gets it. This is the direction they have little choice but to take

The only time you can trade the rights to someone is after you draft them but before they sign their rookie contract.

Ingram Zion and Beal all are bad at defense. That be high scoring no defense.

You can trade any rfa as long the player don’t sign an offer and you can add players to doing in some situations.

In this situation they can do.

No, you can’t trade an RFA unless it’s a S&T.

II, research through all of the past NBA trades a show us an example of a RFA right's being traded.

Its all legal in his fantasy league.

Josh hart can opt in to his qualified offer and get traded to become unrestricted free agent the following year. The pelicans and Washington can trade soon the season over, and get traded. He can sign and trade plus add naw and Hayes to the pelicans just like others just got signed and traded with players added. As long the team not over the cap and it’s not with max trades.

If NO offers Ball, Alex-Walker, Hayes and 3x1st maybe - but not sure if Beal would agree to extend.

Clarification is always a plus, II. Understand that the Qualifying Offer is an offer for a one-year, guaranteed contract. Accepting the QO is signing a NEW one-year contract which places a 3-month trade restriction on the player. So Hart could technically be traded 3 months into the season.

Also, this is not trading a player's "rights" as you claimed earlier.

On a side point, there has yet to be any example of this happening in the history of the NBA. So just shows how incredibly "rare" it is to happen here. Just not sure I can see Hart on a 1 yr/ $5 mil deal.

Here another way trade can happen. Sign and trade hart and for picks for Beal then wizards use trade exception to get naw and Hayes.

ummm. wrong again, II. the S&T on Hart would have to start at a $27.5 mil in order to get within the "125% + 1K" of Beal's $34.5 mil. That would create a $7 mil trade exception but NAW ($3.2) and Hayes ($5.3) would exceed that.

Also, pretty sure that Washington is unwilling to pay Hart that much for a year (assuming the other years are team options to fulfill the 3 year min for S&T contracts) .

@ RingDing. Pels could land Beal and keep Ball. They have something the Mavs don’t. Assets
