What about a trade between the Suns and the Twolves

Minn gets - Ayton, C. Payne, C. Johnson and our 2023 1st and 2025 1st.?

It’s never a good look for a player wanting a max deal to get benched at the end of an elimination game (just ask dlo) . That, plus the fact the Suns wouldn’t sign him to said max, would make me very reluctant to give that player a max deal. Trading KAT for Ayton means the Wolves would be committed to giving him the max. I don’t think a could late first and a couple average players would be enough for me to take that on and I would be surprised if the wolves new leadership would do it.

This says nothing about the fact that KAT’s value to the Wolves is higher than it is to any other team. The Wolves need the stability in their core that pairing KAT and Ant for the next few years will give them. It is one thing to talk about trading dlo. It’s another to talk about trading the core of the franchise.
