Knicks Perspective:
Pair Mitchell with Brunson, Barrett, & Robinson. Only trade 1 of the 3 controllable young guys in Quickley, Grimes, & Toppin. Only trade 2 unprotected first round picks in the process, leaving the door open for separate trades involving their 2027 & 2029 first round picks.
Also would vault them into playoff conversation.

Jazz Perspective:
Westbrook's expiring insures they don't take back any long term money. Quickley and Reaves are two guys that have room to grow and will get opportunity to show their skills. 8 first round picks tops the Rudy Gobert haul of 5. All in all, with the trades of 3 of their 5 starters in the postseason, they would have obtained 14 first round picks this summer.

Lakers Perspective:
They get an escape from the Russell Westbrook situation that isn't trading for another enigma in Kyrie Irving. Julius Randle would provide a capable post presence, is only a year removed from All-NBA honors, and has played both for the Lakers and alongside Davis prior. Fournier provides much needed shooting alongside the playmaking of LeBron & Pat Beverley is the perfect 3 and D point guard for the Lakers next to the King. Cam Reddish is a very talented prospect with high potential, is a good defender, is an NBA body, and finally would be able to have consistent minutes to grow with the Lakers.

U really think Lakers can get randle Fournier, Beverley, and reddish for a first round pick? Keep dreaming. Unloading Westbrook will tk a minimum first rounder alone.

Lakers would be trading two unprotected first round picks as showed above, and Randle and Fournier are on long term deals. I can guarantee you the Knicks would much rather get rid of them then trading an Obi Toppin or Quentin Grimes or a third/ fourth unprotected first round pick to acquire Mitchell.
