Would you trade Barnes for SGA

Raptors are in a win now mode Barnes for SGA would definitely put them in the win now. They are both young and both have high ceilings A-line up of Freddie SGA. OG Siakim

I'd do it. SGA is a hometown kid & one of the best young players in the league. Toronto needs someone who can create & is better than VanVleet.

I think Barnes his value is a little bit higher.
SGA is older and he hasn't been an all star yet.
Barnes is still on his rookie contract

Barnes for SGA+ a (late) first seems fair to me.

The 24 year old averaging 31, 6, 5 has more value than the 21 year old averaging 14, 6, 5.

Barnes could be the centerpiece of an SGA trade. But straight up isn’t close to fair value with how SGA is playing.

Yea, Gasupo is whack with his assessment. Barnes is not scoring over 30 points a game in the next 3 years (the difference in their ages) .

A trade like this would probably be more like

SGA for Barnes, Boucher, Young + 2023 unprotected first at a minimum.

or

SGA for Barnes, Trent Jr + 2023 unprotected first at a minimum.

If u trade Barnes u need to keep boucher and Trent maybe Birch Flynn and 1 first round pick Barnes will be an allstar in time sga is that already and the thunders don't need that right now they want Barnes type players I think Toronto should trade now for him he's still young and in a win now. And if you have to add Trent you do it but keeping thw first and add a 2nd.

TBF, Siakam has been excellent as our primary creator. I do think that getting SGA will cost too much.

If the raptors want to win they need to make a trade for another guy off the bench to help them score. And a bit of a true center young is great but he's small he's better ff the bench With boucher beside him to help down low. I say they should go after another PG who's great and scoring and won't demand much with the other stars on the floor. I also thing they should go after a defensive center who's got experience. Possible a magee from Dallas for Birch and picks.

Then add a vet off the bench maybe a Derek rose.
