Every NBA team would rather have Robert Williams on his contract than Ayton on his contract. Adding in 2 more valuable pieces only adds to the insanity.

Ayton is clearly an upgrade over Williams, not taking contract in consideration.

I'm not so sure he is for Boston, where he fits perfectly, and besides that, contracts must be taken into consideration. The next 3 years Williams is owed about 37 mil compared to 102 mil for Ayton. Teams would rather have Williams at his price than Ayton at his price. Plus this proposal has Boston giving an additional 2 important pieces.
