Who are the Top 5 best positioned franchises in the league (in terms of best chance of success over the next 5-10 years)

What about bottom 5 for next 5-10 years.

Base your answer off of player talent and a front offices ability to put together a good roster. Good coaches should play a factor too.

To me its 2 different questions
next 5 years its Lakers, Clippers, Bucks, Nets and probably Celtics

years 6 - 10, when these teams stars are done and they haven't had draft picks for years.
Pelicans, Dallas, Thunder, Toronto and Miami. Pels and Thunder because of their young talent and horde of picks, Dallas because of Doncic and Cuban, and Raptors and Heat because they are the best in the league at finding and developing talent.

For now:
East:Bucks/ Nets/ Sixers outsider: Indy/ Boston
West:Clippers/ Lakers/ Golden State outsider: Phoenix/ Utah

Future top teams:
East:Bucks/ boston/ sixers outsider: Hawks/ Miami
West:Dallas/ Golden State/ New Orleans outsider: Sacramento/ OKC/ Phoenix/ Denver.

Knicks, pelicans, thunder, nuggets and hawks.

magic Houston spurs Detroit wizards.

5.) 21 Jan 2021 20:26:39
Pelicans have decent core for now but lots of picks. To carry them over next ten years. Okc too. Worse are knicks and kings because they seem to stay bad no matter what.

NO, Dallas, Denver, Boston are my top tier.

All with a young superstar and assets/ talent around them.

OKC, Toronto, Miami, Milwaukee second tier.

OKC missed the top tier because of a lack of a superstar. Same with Toronto.

Bottom tier: Portland, Houston, Clippers, Wizards, Brooklyn

All these teams are short picks and have stars that will be fading within 5 years.

Next 10 years? With picks, youth and trajectory I'd have to say

New Orleans
Chicago
Atlanta
Memphis
Denver.

Finally Westbrook trade predictions will come to an end. Who won the trade?
I think it’s good for each team bc Wall can be a better fit with harden and the rockets also get a pick. As for the wizards, Westbrook is the better player but how well will he fit with Beal?

With Texas being a gun loving cartel riddled state I think Wall and his gang life fits in great there. On the court he will get hurt or pout when harden controls the ball 90% of the time. Wizards got out of a horrible contract and got a healthier player. Time to see if Beal is an alpha and can work/ control Russ.

Wizards made a smart decision by making the pick a few years from now and protected incase Beal leaves.

3.) 04 Dec 2020 04:24:50
I think it's a win for the Wizards. Scott Brooks knows how to handle Russ. Russ-Beal combo could be great.

I like this for the Wizards and Westbrook.

I truly hope Wall comes back, i would like to see a Harden-Wall backcourt.

Not enough for Beal. The whole point of trading him would be to get a young centerpiece and save money long term. They get an older player on a longer deal and don’t get a centerpiece. Beal is 4 years younger than harden and this return isn’t half as good as that.

Wizards can’t afford that. Even if they could, why would they trade a cheaper player who is a better shooter for an older, more expensive player. Love wouldn’t be the worst fit on the wizards but I definitely don’t see them doing this.
