1st - simple trade
MIA:
Melo
NYK:
Bosh

add some picks from MIA (not the 2017 1rd)

NYK tanks and after removing Bosh contract they would have ton of cap spece in 2017.

2nd-

Melo, Rose and Vujacic for Bosh, Dragic and JJ

JKubacki

1.) 27 Jan 2017 13:23:48
Melo does not waive his No Trade to go to Miami. May have considered it if Wade was still there.

2.) 27 Jan 2017 15:03:23
And why would Miami do this?

25 Jan 2017 12:46:52
BOS:
Rozier, G. Green, 1rd pick 2017 (not the Nets pick)

76ers:
Noel

JKubacki

1.) 25 Jan 2017 13:14:47
Pretty sure sixers are passing up that package. Noel has been a beast since he came back.

2.) 25 Jan 2017 13:34:59
The Celtics don't have a non Nets 2017 1st rounder.

3.) 25 Jan 2017 14:55:57
Lol, why does soxfan893 get down votes for this? It's true, the Celtics don't have a non Nets 1st in 2017. They only own the swap rights for their own 1st pick with the Nets in 2017, so Brooklyn likely will have to pick in the early, mid twenties instead of one of the top lottery picks. Other than that the Celts only own a couple of 2nd rounders this year.

4.) 25 Jan 2017 16:15:27
Thanks for the pick info. The problem for Sixers with Noel is he will probably walk for free next year. He wants to start and he wants to be paid.

5.) 25 Jan 2017 18:05:10
Oh yeah, real beast mode! 8 pts and 5 reb a game. INSANE! esepecially as he is getting a massive pay increase.

6.) 25 Jan 2017 22:40:38
I somewhat agree that Noel will leave, but if I'm Philly, I match anything he gets in FA as they're not paying Embiid big bucks for another couple of years, and Noel could either force his way into 30 minutes a game (15 C, 15 PF), or become good trade bait later.

7.) 26 Jan 2017 07:50:55
I don't think he is a good option for PF so giving him 15 and not givin it to Saric or maybe Simmons is not a fine idea. If they will match they probably end up with a trade with Dallas for bad return.

MIL:
-Plumlee
-Parker

Chicago
-Lopez
-Portis
-McDermont.

JKubacki

1.) 16 Dec 2016 19:34:43
Not even close for parker.

2.) 16 Dec 2016 20:26:35
I don't think Jabari has done enough to show he'l be a star, but I agree with Thrillhouse that CHI would have to offer a lot more than this. MIL would rather keep Parker and see what he becomes after the injuries held him back.

3.) 16 Dec 2016 20:47:14
Hasn't done enough to show he's going to be a star? Clearly someone who has never watched him play. Jabari hasn't even played played 130 games in the NBA, less than 2 full seasons and is averaging 20 ppg 6 reb and has shown to be one of the most dynamic and dominant dunkers in the game. Oh and he can shoot the three a big who's shooting 37% from deep. And all of this 1 night after he and the bucks annihilated the bulls.

4.) 17 Dec 2016 01:07:42
Ya I can't see Bucks considering any offer for Parker from Bulls unless Jimmy Butler was part of it.

09 Aug 2016 10:40:57
BOS / WSH

Amir J. for. M. Gortat.

JKubacki

1.) 09 Aug 2016 12:54:55
Why would Washington do this?

2.) 09 Aug 2016 13:47:13
Cause they paid mahinmi 16m per year and he should play starting center.

3.) 09 Aug 2016 14:11:08
That's not a reason to give someone away though in conference. Mahimi isn't better then gortat.

4.) 09 Aug 2016 14:38:46
Then wtf was Washington's front offive thinking?

5.) 09 Aug 2016 15:13:56
Actually, it's a rather strong reason to get rid of a player. And in conference? You really think the Wizards are going to be dreading the revenge of gortat because he is in the same conference?

Stop throwing cliche terms around. In conference trades are issues for franchise players. Not slightly above average at best centers.

6.) 09 Aug 2016 15:26:53
Trading Gortat is a no go. He's better than mahimi. Washington knew Nene was leaving and he's the replacement.

7.) 10 Aug 2016 09:39:57
And Nene could play some PF and Mahimi can not. So they will pay two centers around 28 mil per year. Amir can play pf and sometimes C so he would be a nice addition and Gortat can be the starting 5 for Boston and they can use Horford to play 4.

Just got a question. In new era of soo many bad contracts who can be a taker of a bad contract? Who would be interested in guys like Noah, Mozgov, E. Turner, Parsons and more?

JKubacki

1.) 30 Jan 2017 15:44:15
There has to be a benefit to someone being willing to take a bad contract. Knicks, for example, would have to add a decent draft pick to anyone willing to eat Noah's contract, and NY could get back a player with an expiring contract. Doing that multiple times creates salary cap room. Best thing to do is not panic and don't give big money to older players.

2.) 30 Jan 2017 17:16:07
I was thinking more of trading bad contracts or unwanted player situation but you are right. I still think Noah can help but Phil and Lakers did the same thing that all people were making jokes due to T. Chandler and Omer Asik contracts. All those guys have some value yet they all are not the players they were. The are slower and the game has changed yet they have too long and too expensive contracts. Hope Noah will be better with time cause I always liked him.

3.) 31 Jan 2017 01:39:42
Bad teams with cap space that are low on talent would be interested in these guys since there is likely a pick or some other asset coming along with them. The 76ers used this tactic taking on McGee's contract to get a 1st and Landry and Thompson's contracts from Kings to get Stauskas, swap rights on kings pick and their 2019 1st rounder.

Teams are obligated to spend up to 90% of the salary cap and if they don't they have to pay the difference out to their players anyway. Therefore teams below this "salary floor" are further incentivized to take on these bad contracts since it doesn't necessarily cost them as much. There are currently 6 teams below the floor: Nets, 76ers, Nuggets, Jazz, Suns and Twolves.

Nets are the worst at 8M below the salary floor so none are major but Nets could benefit the most from taking on a bad contract since without many draft picks this may be one of the few ways they could acquire some more and without their own pick for a few more years maybe the guy on a big contract can actually contribute for them.

4.) 31 Jan 2017 20:26:53
Any team that are under the salary cap and can afford to take the bad contract, they probably want a draft pick aswell, mostly rebuilding teams that not going to be competitive for a few years aswell

If Bucks can't trade Monroe, maybe use Plumlee as a starter and use Monroe like Hornets used Big Al last season and trade Henson. Who would trade for Henson?

JKubacki

1.) 25 Jul 2016 15:20:19
Henson to Rockets.

2.) 25 Jul 2016 23:27:28
Got a question, is Monroe really a problem? I think his 15mil a year is a good deal. Some teams might get a steal if they trade for him. He just needs to fit in.

3.) 26 Jul 2016 08:45:42
He must play with a good defender nad rim protecting PF. So basically a player that can guard PF and C. On top of that it would be nice if that player has some range and those players are rare. Ibaka, Davis, Milsap, Horford, Porzingis and L. Aldridge (I don't include KAT and M. Turner cause they are more C than PF) . Hawks and NYK have their C and Magic have a better bad D C in Vucevic (who is still a better defender than Monroe and has nice range, not to mention he is paid 12 mil not 17) and NOLA probably would like to move Asik in that proces so 3rd team should be icluded in that trade. Doubt that Spurs would give up an asset for Monroe so it would be hard to do a trade. Boston can give Amir J. and some fillers (at best Smart or Rozier) but not any core players and high draft picks.

06 Jul 2016 09:10:00
NYK scenarios, what you think?

Noah/ OQuinn/ Hernangomez
Porzingis/
Melo/ Thomas/ Kuzminskas
Lee/ Holiday/
Rose/ Jennings/

I hope we sign Galloway as a back up sg/ pg.
Other options are - Vujacic as a 3rd sg/ pg
Baker as a back up sg (not impressed with him in SL yet he may do good) .
I doubt we will sign D. Will (would like to but. )
Would love B. Bass
Other - Bachynski, M. Plumlee, Atkins, Thanasis or S. Novak.

JKubacki

1.) 06 Jul 2016 14:43:08
I'm not sure about Holiday being the second string, maybe Wayne Ellington? And Bass like you said for backup PF.

2.) 06 Jul 2016 22:00:10
If they can't resign D. Williams then maybe a B. Bass/ C. Villanueva/ J. Johnson/ T. Jones either one of those guys.

30 Jun 2016 08:18:06
Who would be a best fit for Knicks as a sg? I would gowith C. Lee - not costly 3 adn D dude and would give the room for galloway and Baker to play.

JKubacki

1.) 30 Jun 2016 15:41:01
In this order based on fit, production, and money.
1. Gerald Henderson
2. Courtney Lee
3. Kent Bazemore
4. Lance Stephenson
I would say Arron Afflalo but I don't see him wanting to come back.

2.) 30 Jun 2016 16:36:20
Yeah i think G. Henderson is a cheaper and decent fit to start at the 2. And the knicks can sign a J Crawford or E. Gordon to be the scorer off the bench.

30 Jun 2016 08:16:05
Do you think that Noah is worth 18 per year or it would be better to sign Mozgov for around 6-8 per year?

JKubacki

1.) 30 Jun 2016 12:16:26
I don't think he is worth 18 mil a year especially because his best days are behind him, but let's see what guys like Horford and Whiteside get paid. If Noah actually does get 18/ year then I expect both those guys to get above 20 mil.

2.) 30 Jun 2016 16:37:14
I would say P. Gasol he would be a cheaper option and still a solid player.

3.) 01 Jul 2016 08:59:14
GM are crazy - Noah 18 per (gamble but could work, yet still few mill too much) but Mozgov for 16 per - I like him but now the Asik and T. Chandler deals may look like a steal.

Knicks won't trade their 2017 pick. Monroe is not a good pf (he can't defend pf) and with Monroe they wold probably want to trade Noah.

Parson may be the worst contract in NBA. No one will probably trade for him. He plays badly and is often injuried for last 3 years.

Paul will not sign with Knicks and Randolph is not a good signing. Trading Rose could not be that hard or you just can let him walk yet for Noah you would have to take another bad contract. I would try E. Turner.

BKN - could trade Lopez for some picks cause they will probably suck and they could tank.
ORL - I don't see any untradeable player for them.
SAC - they make weird moves so hard to predict. Maybe it is Cousins who will go when will be a FA.
UTA - I would say Favors.

What about Asik and Holiday for Monroe and MCW. Probably NOP should add some fillers but it is not a bad one. Then Henson can be traded.
