Hayward to Cavs
Drummond to Celtics
Does it help each team for nearly equal money?

1.) 06 Aug 2020 09:25:23
I think it does, but Boston Loves Hayward
And he's still the better player.

2.) 06 Aug 2020 14:04:54
He may or may not be the better player or better fit for Bostin, but you're right. Boston loves Hayward.

3.) 06 Aug 2020 15:26:26
Its because he is white, JoeB?

4.) 06 Aug 2020 16:01:29
You can pretty much flush the toilet on Drummond for Hayward. Not going to happen in this or any other universe. Celtics might have some interest in Tristan Thompson (UFA) in the off-season if they wash out early in the playoffs. Any Cavs fans hearing that Garland or Sexton would be available?

5.) 06 Aug 2020 17:15:05
What is Boston likely to begin to offer for Sexton or Garland? If Cavs I am interested in moving one.

6.) 06 Aug 2020 17:34:22
Doubt Boston would move one of its core players, but some combination of Langford and No. 1s might move the needle. Not sure if Cleveland would bite on that, though.

7.) 06 Aug 2020 18:36:39
Sexton for Langford and top 4 protected Memphis 1st in 2020. Just in case Memphis does not make playoffs and gets ping ping ball luck in lottery then Celts keep it. If so then Boston and Milwaukee firsts in 2020 draft. Work for Celtics?

8.) 06 Aug 2020 19:55:40
Sorry just noted pick already top 6 protected so same as above but protected 1-6.

9.) 06 Aug 2020 20:06:11
My guess -- and it's just a guess -- is that Boston would do that deal.

Similar contracts
Who has more value Celtics Hayward or Cavs Love?

cards21

1.) 29 Jan 2020 22:02:51
Similar stats, too, but don't forget that Love is the Cavs' first option on offense and Hayward is Boston's fourth option on rare occasions when everyone is healthy.
Celtics could really use Love, but they're pretty adamant that they will not break up their core 5 in any deal. That said, Love might be the best player available at the deadline, and it will be interesting to see if a contender will swallow his contract in order to beef up for a playoff run.
The Sixers seem to be connected to every rumor out there, but OKC has plenty of draft choices and is one 10-game hot streak away from moving up to second or third in the West.

2.) 29 Jan 2020 23:30:37
Also one ten game streak out of playoffs.

3.) 30 Jan 2020 00:07:31
I’d take Hayward over Love. I don’t think it’s incredibly close.

4.) 30 Jan 2020 14:08:43
I would take Hardaway over Love too, but a healty Love would be a good fit in Boston.

Love's still a good player, but his age, contract and injury history lowers his trade value a lot.

5.) 30 Jan 2020 15:35:41
Agree a lot with what’s being said, though Love’s usage is pretty similar to Hayward’s. You can argue that Love gets to pick his spots more and has people adjusting to what he wants to do, but at the same time, he’d really benefit from a system like the Celtics and having guys around him that know how to play. He just doesn’t have guards that know how to get him the ball or set him up for success. I do think that if either team had the other guy, they’d be better off and both players would be better off long term being on the other team.

6.) 30 Jan 2020 22:32:20
What about a 3 way deal where Love goes to Boston, Whiteside and a first goes to Cleveland, and Hayward goes to Portland?

I’ve also seen talks of a Whiteside/ Hayward deal. I think Whiteside is a bad fit in Boston, but I’d love Hayward in Portland.

BMiller, plausible frame work.

Great for Dallas
Not so for Cavs
Bad contracts for low picks?
Cavs could have kept the picks they traded to Detroit for Drummond and spent less total money.

Eliminate Simmons
Beal to Cavs for Sexton, Osman, Exum swap of 20 firsts assuming Cavs higher than Wizards after lottery, Wizards get higher of Cavs / Bucks in 22.
