Who says no?

Kings get KAT

Wolves get Haliburton, Bagley S/T and a 1st

jbazoo

1.) 03 May 2021 13:07:59
Wolves.

2.) 03 May 2021 13:27:09
Wolves. got to add like 4 firsts.

3.) 03 May 2021 13:27:56
CBA says no. Can't add another player in a sign and trade.

4.) 03 May 2021 16:16:20
Bagley says no to signing to play in Minny.

5.) 03 May 2021 16:44:59
Minnesota says no, not anywhere close for KAT.

Bagley is hurting his value with his inconsistent play. But if Bags could get max contract he'd sign with anyone to include Sacramento.

6.) 03 May 2021 18:51:50
Only if Kings can land Mobley in draft to replace KAT.

7.) 03 May 2021 21:56:58
If the Kings can land Mobley, we take Mobley and do not trade for KAT.

8.) 03 May 2021 23:30:36
In this situation you can.

11 Jun 2020 00:58:01
Pels get: Seth Curry, Tim Hardaway Jr, Justin Jackson, future 1st

Mavs get: Jrue Holiday, Frank Jackson

jbazoo

1.) 11 Jun 2020 02:17:02
No enough for Jrue. And when is that future 1st?

2.) 11 Jun 2020 03:08:28
Frank Jackson is a RFA and thus can not be traded at this time.

-------------------------Warriors Rebuild-------------------------

Trade 1:
Warriors Receive: Joel Embiid
Sixers Receive: Klay Thompson, Alen Smailagic and Warriors 2020 1st round pick
Trade 2:
Warriors Receive: Robert Covington, Josh Okogie and Shabazz Napier
Timberwolves Receive: Draymond Green and Jordan Poole
Sign:
Andre Iguodala - 1yr/Min
Alec Burks - 2yrs/MLE
Team:
Curry, DLo, Okogie, Covington, Embiid
Napier, Burks, Iggy, Paschall, Looney
Evans, Lee, WCS

Sixers do this if they fail to reach the finals again. Embiid and Simmons may prove to be incompatible and Sixers may choose to cash in on one of them. If the Warriors offer Klay and the 1st, the offer may be too good to turn down, Smailagic appears to have some upside as well. Klay would be a great fit for the Sixers and would open up space for Simmons to attack the rim. Simmons, JRich, Klay, Harris and Horford would be a fun lineup and great on both ends. Warriors pair up the best post player and the best perimeter player in the league. Embiid would also be great on the PnR with both Curry and DLo. GS then surrounds those players with 3 and D wings.
TWolves do this as Draymond gives them much needed leadership, defense and playmaking. Warriors do this as Dray may not be the best fit with Embiid. GS gets an elite perimeter defender in Covington and a much needed backup PG in Napier as well as a useful young role-player in Okogie who could improve.
These trades make the league more fun and improve each team (at least in terms of fit) imo.

jbazoo

1.) 12 Jan 2020 23:44:44
That’s not getting you Embiid.

2.) 13 Jan 2020 01:35:54
Covington’s three point shooting, and contract, fits MIN better than Draymond Green. I haven’t watched Green’s Defense this year, but Covington was also named a 1st team All Defense guy. RoCo is also KAT’s best friend on the team.

I think MIN says no.

3.) 13 Jan 2020 03:13:26
No chance I’d trade a top 5 pick and Thompson for Embiid.

Same with trading draymond for that little.

Seems really bad for GS short and long term.

4.) 13 Jan 2020 03:58:30
Doubt GS trades Thompson and top 4 lottery pick for Embiid.

Mights get DLo and a 2020 draft pick swap.

5.) 13 Jan 2020 04:12:53
Embiid > thompson
Covington > Green.

6.) 13 Jan 2020 07:26:47
Embiid better than Thompson individually but Klay and the top 4 pick is better especially GS style.

AD to the Knicks book it!

Pelicans get Kristaps Porzingis, Tim Hardaway Jr and Knicks 2019 1st

Knicks get Anthony Davis

Knicks probably have the best trade package to offer for AD. Pelicans receive a young potential MVP candidate and perennial All NBA player in Porzingis. People forget how good Porzingis was before his injury and the Pelicans will be able to extend him as a RFA. Pelicans will also get Hardaway who is an underrated wing scorer. They finally get the Knicks pick which will probably be a top 5 pick in a draft loaded with future superstars.

Knicks give up a lot but they do this trade in mind that it will probably convince Kyrie or Durant (or both) to sign for them in the offseason and they then build around that big 3.

jbazoo

1.) 13 Jan 2019 03:17:29
Honestly, if Zinger was healthy and playing like last year, I could see this being reasonable.

2.) 13 Jan 2019 06:09:43
He is healthy, don't be naive about tanking triangle.

3.) 13 Jan 2019 09:18:46
I think this offer is made and is a real contender.

4.) 13 Jan 2019 18:52:08
With healthy prozingis this trade hard to top.

Durant to the Knicks

Silver, NBA, Kleiman, Roc Nation, Nike would all love for KD to go to the Knicks to maximize the growth of his brand, to make NY basketball relevant and to make the NBA competitive again.

Knicks are better than people give them credit for; they have a good coach in Fizdale and have drafted well recently, Porzingis (excellent pick), Knox, Ntilikina and Mitchell Robinson (all good picks).

The Knicks are also likely to get a top 5-10 pick in next year's draft that is loaded with top talent.
They should be looking to get a better PG than they have and the options are good.

Kyrie is the best case scenario, Kyrie is likely to return to the Celtics but if he leaves, his only other destination will be the Knicks, KD joining NY should tempt him to ditch the Celtics. But if Kyrie stays then the Knicks should have a very good chance to sign Terry Rozier as it is unlikely the Celtics keep both. Kemba Walker is a NY native and is very underrated, his playing like a top tier PG so far this season.

Potential Lineup:
PG - Kyrie or Rozier or Kemba
SG - Ntilikina
SF - Durant/Knox
PF - Porzingis
C - Robinson

This team would instantly be a contender in the East, and would be terrifying defensively with the length of Ntilikina, Durant, Porzingis and Robinson. Knicks can fill out their bench by adding vets on low contracts as well as their draft pick and keeping anyone who plays well this year.
The NBA would be very competitive in this scenario: the East would have at least 6 contenders Celtics, Knicks, Sixers, Bucks, Nets, Raptors (if Kawhi stays).
If Durant leaves GSW, the West would have almost all 15 teams contending for the playoffs and nearly 10 teams will feel like they can win the conference: (Warriors, Rockets, Lakers, Jazz, Nuggets, Pelicans, Blazers, Spurs, Clippers, Thunder).

Other moves that would be great for the NBA are:
- Kawhi to the Clippers
- Butler and Boogie to the Nets
- Kyrie to stay with the Celtics
- Rozier to the Suns

What are your thoughts? Does anyone else have any other scenarios that would add competitive balance to the league?

jbazoo

1.) 06 Nov 2018 20:19:11
Fizdale isn't a good coach.

2.) 06 Nov 2018 22:56:55
I think the Knicks should go easy with their cap. Porzingis is going to eat up 30 million probably this summer. By the time their '19 pick and Knox have a couple seasons under their belts maybe then the knicks will be in the market for the best player in the NBA in the off season. A lottery team adding the best player in the NBA the following season is probably pretty rare too.

3.) 07 Nov 2018 00:24:02
Im not sure if Fizdale good or bad coach. But if Knicks want Durant he probably want fizdale around and moving Hardaway Lee for expiring contract is vital, Thomas get 1.5 mil early term buyout. Give Durant 40 mil per yr. Rozier 20. Vonleh mle

Trade Knox for Langford 2 2nd

Rozier/ Ntilikina/ vet
Trier/ Langford/ Caleb Martin-pickup
Durant/ Dotson/ Cody Martin-2nd
Williamson/ Vonleh/ vet
Porzingis/ Robinson/ Blitadze-2nd.

4.) 07 Nov 2018 01:24:03
Lakers, Cavs both did it recently.

5.) 07 Nov 2018 01:38:39
Lakers and LBJ was rare.

6.) 07 Nov 2018 02:02:48
Btec they plan on signing free agents 1st than resigning Porzingis. The richest team in nba does care about luxury taxes if they win.

7.) 07 Nov 2018 14:38:17
I'd be surprised if the knicks could land Rozier. He would be about where I was aiming If I had cap to spend. It's a position the knicks need for a guy they could overpay a little to get that has upside still.

8.) 07 Nov 2018 14:47:07
Shiller 41 Maybe the CAVS did 5 years ago, maybe, but Durant is a warrior? Lakers?

23 May 2018 15:22:23
Kemba Walker is an intriguing. He is an all-star caliber point guard earning only $12 Million who can score, fit in many different schemes and make his teammates better. He also has a one year deal and is not likely to return to the Hornets.

What is his trade value and which teams would benefit by adding him?

jbazoo

1.) Take out Rudy Gay, and it's a really fair trade.

2.) 23 May 2018 15:52:22
I think the Cavs are probably the obvious answer if Lebron were to stay.

The Lakers could go after him if they can add 2 stars. His salary is obviously something that would be appealing to them. They could fit 3 stars that way.

The Pacers could be an interesting fit.

The Twolves. It would be an upgrade over Teague.

The Nuggets adding him could create just a ridiculous offense.

Some of the younger teams could make a run as well.

3.) 23 May 2018 16:02:49
I’d like to see him to the Cavs for Jordan Clarkson and #8 or to the Knicks for Burke/ Mudiay and #9.

4.) 23 May 2018 17:12:55
I think that would be a bad move for the Knicks. KP might not play next year. They're better off tanking and adding more young talent.

5.) 24 May 2018 03:26:52
I think kemba could stay, and hornets deal him to dump salary if they do trade him. Rookies are cheap. Hornets have a couple seasons to go before being forced to part with kemba if ever.

Could Phoenix be a potential destination for Lebron?
It has widely been reported that Lebron has always desired control within any team he plays for and that was one of the reasons he left Miami. Lebron's guy James Jones is an executive at the Suns and the Suns are looking at hiring Fizdale as head coach who is also close to Lebron.
Phoenix has good young athletic players like Booker, Jackson, Chriss, Bender. Phoenix has 3 2018 1st round picks, 2 2018 2nd round picks, and will most likely get the 1st pick in the draft.
Phoenix also has a ton of cap space and could waive or trade Dudley and Chandler who have expiring contracts to relieve around $23M. And if they also get rid of Brandon Knight, Suns will only have a payroll of around $40M next season.
Cap space gives Suns many potential scenarios and they may then be able to afford both Lebron, Paul George and draft Ayton. Suns could find a package involving picks, a young player and Brandon Knight for Kemba Walker.
In a different scenario, Suns could also package Josh Jackson and picks (including #1) 2018 for Kawhi Leonard. Doncic or Ayton and Josh Jackson would be a great long term return for Kawhi considering he has an expiring contract. Suns may be able to afford Lebron and Deandre Jordan in that scenario.

Scenario 1 Scenario 2
Walker Walker
Booker Booker
George Leonard
Lebron Lebron
Ayton Jordan

jbazoo

1.) 11 Apr 2018 19:10:23
2nd scenario is scary for the west. unlikely but would be worth to consider if the suns can move those contracts and traded for Leonard.

2.) 11 Apr 2018 20:31:23
I would actually prefer scenario 1 because the team would have more depth. The more I think about it, if Lebron were to join Phoenix I would rather pick Doncic over Ayton. None of the title contenders this season play big and a lineup of Doncic - Booker - George - Jackson - Lebron would be unstoppable on both ends. There are still useful centers who can defend and rebound available for cheap like Noel, Bogut, Dedmon etc if Suns drafted Doncic.

New Orleans Pelicans Offseason

Trade:
- (Sign and Trade) Gordon Hayward - 5yrs/Max (Send Solomon Hill to Utah)
- Asik and a future 2nd to Philly for Gerald Henderson

Sign:
- Jrue Holiday - 4yrs/100M
- Vince Carter - 1yr/Vet Min
- Mario Chalmers - 1yr/Min

PG - Holiday/Chalmers/Fraizer
SG - Moore/Jordan.Crawford/Carter
SF - Hayward/Henderson/Ponderxer
PF - Davis/Cunningham
C - Cousins/Ajinca

Getting rid of Asik and Solomon Hill's contracts gives cap space to go after Hayward and keep Jrue. Bench is filled with vets and young players

Spurs 17-18

Trade:
Tony Parker to Dallas Mavericks for Devin Harris(waive)

Sign:
- Chris Paul - 4yrs/100 Mill
- Jonathon Simmons - 3yrs/15 Mill
- Omri Casspi - 1yr/5 Mill
- Derrick Williams - 1yr/2 Mill
- Tiago Splitter - 1yr/1 Mill
- Manu Ginobili - 1yr/Vet Min
- Jose Calderon - 1yr/Vet Min

PG - Paul/Murray/Calderon
SG - Green/Ginobili/Simmons
SF - Kawhi/Casspi/Anderson
PF - Aldridge/Lee/Williams
C - Dedmon/Gasol/Splitter

Spurs shed Parker and Ginobili contracts which avails about 30Mill of cap room. CP3 takes less to win, and Spurs bring another shooter in Casspi also add Derrick Williams, Calderon and Splitter for depth.

jbazoo

1.) 12 Apr 2017 16:15:06
Why would the Mavs take on Parker's salary? They aren't going to be in the playoff hunt and they could use their cap space to go after young players who could actually help them down the line. Also, even without parkers contract they would be looking at 20 million in capspace so they would need Paul to take less.

2.) 12 Apr 2017 18:54:20
At this point in his career Parker isn't that valuable especially to a team like the Mavs who should be focused toward future with their lotto pick, Barnes and Noel. They'd need a sweetener to take on Parker's contract.

Chris Paul to Spurs would be scary for the rest of the league. I think he'd be a perfect fit in Pops system.

Brooklyn Nets

Draft:
- Justin Jackson (UNC) (Wizards Pick)

Sign:
- Danilo Gallinari (4yrs/80M)
- Shaun Livingston (3ys/30M)
- Taj Gibson (2yrs/25M)
- Tyreke Evans (2yrs/16M)

PG - Lin/Livingston
SG - RHJ/Evans/McDaniels
SF - Levert/Jackson
PF - Gallinari/Gibson/Booker
C - Lopez/Hamilton

jbazoo

1.) 31 Mar 2017 01:09:53
You created the most unhealthy team in the league.

2.) 01 Apr 2017 07:02:43
And if you have Lopez at Center, I don't think you want a small ball stretch 4. That's a bad rebounding lineup.

Yeah, I realize Philly would struggle to pay for all those guys. On second thought maybe the Sixers don't need Paul George if they get McCollum. Covington gives you what you would want from George defensively and McCollum can put up buckets. George would also take shots away from Simmons and Embiid. This team would definitely win the East and trouble Warriors/ Rockets with size and versatility. Starters could easily average about 100 points per game (Lebron 25ppg, McCollum 25ppg, Embiid 20, Simmons 20 and Covington 10)

Chris Paul will sign a max contract and Griffin would also want one if he's staying. Cap space would be an issue if they were also to add Melo. Letting Griffin walk would help get a better bench and would also open up the floor for wing shooters.

They probably will not trade him but if they do they should consider sending him to Detroit for Marcus Morris and Tobias Harris who will give the Cavs ore youth and athleticism.

Love and Drummond could compliment each other and DET could probably have 3 all stars along with Reggie Jackson. They can push Stanly Johnson to star at the 3 and sign Jared Dudley to cover both him and Love.

Harris provides a younger more athletic stretch 4, who is faster than Love and would be better in switching on smaller guards than Love. Morris would come off the bench and help take the toll off LBJ's back in defending other wings and can also shoot from deep.
