Went a little crazy with this. I'm sure there are massive holes in it. Had fun creating it though. Share if you think this is helpful for all parties involved.

Philadelphia gets clobbered on this one.

Simmons has to prove he can stay healthy and hit a jump shot before most teams will touch him in the West. You have to be able to shoot in the West. Definitely learned that watching Westbrook for ten years, especially in the playoffs.

HOUSTON BLOW UP (If they wanted to trade Harden and Russ)
MIA-HOU
MIA gets:
Harden

HOU gets:
Herro, Robinson, Nunn, Olynyk, Igoudala
2024 1st rd pick, 2026 1st rd pick

HOU-CHI

HOU gets:
Otto Porter, Tomas Satoransky, Thaddeus Young, Kris Dunn
2022 1st rd pick

CHI gets:
Westbrook, Covington, Tucker

Anthony Davis signs 1yr deal with LA, is a free agent then in 2022. Chicago signs him. They need to wait till 2022 to get the cap space. (Might be a stretch with this part)

MIA Lineup
Dragic (re-signed)
Harden
Butler
Crowder (re-signed)
Adebayo

HOU Lineup
Nunn
Herro
Robinson
Porter
Olynyk
Bench: Gordon, Igoudala, Satoransky, Young, Dunn, House, Mclemore, Rivers

CHI 2022 Lineup
Westbrook (33yrs old, yikes)
Lavine
Covington
Markkanen
Davis
Bench: Tucker, White, Felicio, Carter, Valentine

Houston I able to reboot around Herro, Nunn, Robinson, and Miami picks that may end up being good that far out. They probably don't want to trade Harden but this could be a great haul if they do.
Miami is firmly a title contender with that Lineup and probably has the best starting 5 in the league. Butler, Crowder, and Bam are suffocating defensively and of course, Harden and Dragic are awesome offensively.
Chicago plays the long game to put a big 3 together waiting till Davis is done with his run in LA with LeBron seemingly still awesome. They could move guys around to try and sign him in 2021 but it seems more likely Davis tries to stick around at least another year to make another run with LeBron. Then Davis could sign in Chicago and run in a big 3 with Westbrook and Lavine and still having Markkanen. Giving up Covington and Tucker is the price Houston has to pay to get off of Russ and his contract. Might be too much. Russ may have more value than I'm giving him right now. In that case, Chicago would need to give up a 1st rounder or two.

This is a trade only if Houston has decided that they want to blow it all up.

Dunn is FA.

Embiid-Beal Trade
PHI-WAS

PHI gets:
Bradley Beal
Jerome Robinson
2022 1st rd pick
2024 1st rd pick

WAS gets:
Joel Embiid
Josh Richardson

PHI Lineup:
Simmons
Beal
Thybulle
Harris
Horford

WAS Lineup:
Wall
Richardson
Bertans
Hauchimura
Embiid

Both Teams need a shake-up. Philly needs shooting and to break-up Embiid and Simmons. I believe Simmons is the one you need to build around and so you need to get shooters around him. Beal is obviously a better shooter than Embiid. Defensively they would still be awesome with Simmons, beal, thybulle and Horford (Who has for sure lost a step.) WAS is adamant about trying to contend right now and adding Embiid and Richardson gives them some real good defense and the most dominant center in the league when he wants to be. If Wall and Embiid are healthy, and Hachimura develops some more, this team may be a playoff team. Embiid can be a cornerstone. The picks may not be necessary but this puts WAS possibly in the playoffs and PHI in title contention if they round of their roster with lots of shooters. May not be realistic though.

Washington can just wait and see how good Wall is gone be.

2.) 17 Sep 2020 21:46:07
I'd build around Embiid.

GSW-DET
GSW Gets:
Blake Griffin, Derrick Rose, 8 Mil in Cash, #7 pick this draft, 2021 second round pick

DET gets:
Andrew Wiggins, Jordan Poole, Marquese Chriss, #2 pick in Draft, 2021 MIN Pick

GSW Lineup:
Curry, Rose
Thompson, Lee
Okoro(Draft)
Griffin, Pashcall
Green, Looney
17.2 Mil Trade exception

DET resets with:
Hayes or Ball (Draft)
Kennard
Wiggins, Galloway
Doumbouya, Chriss
Wood (Re-signed)
Other picks and FA's

Griffin is worse than Wiggins with that contract, age and injury history. Derick rose is good backup but not worth lottary pick. And you can't send 8 million cash in a trade. Ä°t is a little over 5 million.

2.) 17 Sep 2020 19:53:39
This is terrible for the Warriors. Basically give up the #2 and the '21 Minny pick for Blake Griffin and the 7th pick? Griffin is cooked.

3.) 17 Sep 2020 20:01:53
Drop the Minnesota pick and I kind of like it. When healthy, Griffin is still a really good offensive player that can spread the floor, pass and still be an effective roll man. He’s also an expiring the next summer. So he could be a useful contract to get some more talent. Rose is a solid 6th man. This also let's the Warriors take a Vassell, Okoro or Okungwu that will fill a need. If they keep the two pick, you probably have to draft for upside rather than taking a big reach.

4.) 17 Sep 2020 20:04:24
This draft truly sucks so the picks this year are essentially a wash. Rose is worth a first to everyone around the league. Griffin has two years left on his deal instead of Wiggins' 3 years and Griffin is still a well above average player. He may stay healthier not having to handle as much of the load offensively. They don't have enough to package for a player much better than Griffin and Rose sweetens the deal. They can still get a solid player at #7 in the draft since there is almost no top end talent. They need to win now and with Griffin and rose, they could contend for the next 3 years. Griffin as a player still has some in the tank. In 2018-2019 he was 24.5ppg and 8rpg and 5apg and he can shoot the 3 now. That was my logic with it.

Not sure why either team does this. Toronto gives up their heart and soul. There may be pandemonium if they gave up Lowry, plus does Vucevic move the needle that much? Also, why does Orlando give up Vucevic just for Lowry to mentor Anthony and Fultz? With Isaac out, they should hold on to Vucevic until they know what Isaac is like when he returns.

Love coming off the bench and stashing topping behind Randle and Love doesn't seem like a winning move. They should grab SF depth before they try to upgrade their best position.

This deal is horrible for the Rockets. They get nothing substantial for Harden. The only way they get Harden from the rockets is by giving up Herro and every other young player or assets they have.

His value won't be hurt with the demand because they have him for two years. They can sit and wait for the best offers and let teams get desperate, especially now that the 2021 Free agent class isn't super loaded. The heat could easily offer a better package.
