Houston says they have a 3rd team to trade for Butler. Philadelphia says they want picks.
Boston wants Capela to replace Horford.
This trade matches salaries.

Houston gets Butler
Boston gets Capela
Philly gets Tucker and 1st from Houston and Smart and 1st from Boston.

I think Philly would want Gordon over Tucker and Houston probably needs to hold onto Tucker if they are shipping out Capella as well.

2.) 29 Jun 2019 18:34:20
Philly already has Simmons at the point and would use Smart at the 2. Houston would use Butler at the 3 and would have to acquire a 4 and 5. They really are saying Houston has a 3rd team, but hasn't said who. Boston is the frontrunner for Kemba Walker, and has said they are interested in Capella (and Vucevic, but Orlando just offered him a 4 year, $90mm contract) . Philly would want Tucker to replace Butler.

I think you are making the classic roster mistake by saying Simmons is filling the PG slot. Think a little bit of positionless basketball

Think more Draymond Green, a playmaking PF.

Smart is the primary defender of opponents PG. Gordon becomes your perimeter shooter/ scorer guarding 2 guards. Resign Harris to play on the frontline with Simmons and Embiid.

Jimmy Butler to Houston.

Clint Capela to Boston.

Boston sends cap filler and draft pick.

Houston has to add more salary.

2.) 29 Jun 2019 12:48:32
You can’t sign and trade another teams players and an s and t is really the only way Butler to Houston works.

3.) 29 Jun 2019 15:29:01
Read the news.

4.) 29 Jun 2019 15:52:22
I’m not sure what you’re reading, but go look up the cba. You can’t sign and trade someone else’s player. You have to have bird rights or you can’t trade the player until December 15th.

Not to mention that if Kemba is really going to the Celtics, they’ don’t even have max space for Butlers contract, capela’s contract isn't large enough to be traded alone for Butler’s and a s and t hard caps you at the luxury line and in this deal Houston would be well over that.

What I’ve seen is that Houston is looking for a 3rd team with cap space that will give up picks for their role players, because Philly wants picks rather than Houston’s players. I’ve seen some stuff about Capela to Boston, but they would have to give up something that the 76ers would be willing to take.

Cavs get Myles Turner and T.J. Warren. Pacers sign Bogdanovic of course.

Pacers get Kevin Love.

newguy06

1.) 29 Jun 2019 12:49:18
I wish, but there’s no way Turner would be on the table.

2.) 29 Jun 2019 15:33:44
Read Pacers want Love to pair with Oladipo (and Bogdanovic) . Up to now the Pacers have said no to Sabonis and Turner. Bitadze could change that. To get Love, Turner would have to be included to match salaries.

Pacers would send Myles Turner and 18th pick to Pelicans. Lakers would send Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, and 4th pick to New Orleans. Pacers would get Brandon Ingram from Lakers and Etwann Moore from Pelicans. Lakers would get Anthony Davis.

newguy06

1.) 12 Jun 2019 13:22:54
Pacers get worked. Because of Ingram's medical uncertainty, Turner>Ingram and probably #18=Ingram.

2.) 12 Jun 2019 14:12:37
Sabonis is a better scorer and rebounder than Turner. The Pelicans will need a center. Pacers have wanted Ingram for a few years. He has been given medical clearance. His situation was different from Chris Bosh. The Pacers asked for Ingram for Paul George. Mentioned Moore because he's from Indiana. Pacers need wings. Bogdanovich can play power forward.

3.) 12 Jun 2019 14:29:30
I think the Pacers have the best shot to sign DeAngelo Russell. They'd have money left to sign Dwayne Dedmon.

4.) 12 Jun 2019 15:25:23
Finely for Pacers pick will happen. If dipo healthy him and conely are good scoring and defensive backcourt. Conely can play off the ball or on it.

5.) 12 Jun 2019 16:39:25
Conley will make $30 mm next season. The Pacers already said if they traded for him, they wouldn't be able to sign the free agents they want. As of now they have $44 mm in cap space and have made signing Russell a priority.

6.) 12 Jun 2019 18:48:33
Refresh my memory. Who lead the league in blocked shots this season?

7.) 13 Jun 2019 13:32:45
I know this one is past the front page, but I think this is a fair deal. This is Kuzma away from being the AD package, and the Pacers have a jam at the 5. This makes loads of sense.

8.) 13 Jun 2019 15:42:59
Pacers have a log jam at 5 with Turner and Sabonis and they can't play well enough together to advance far in playoffs. I agree with that, but terrible value trading Turner and #18 pick for Moore and Ingram. Bogdanovic can never play the 4 as he's not a strong defender or rebounder and would get eaten up.

Pacers should be willing to trade Sabonis this off-season, but I'd be shocked if Turner goes anywhere.

Lakers get: Davis
Pacers get: Kuzma
Pelicans get: Sabonis, Ingram, Ball, #4 and maybe #18.

9.) 14 Jun 2019 19:16:58
The problem is Turner will make $18mm next season, Sabonis will make $4mm. To make the trade work, you would need to include Turner. The Pacers say they want more offense next season. Sabonis is your scorer and rebounder. Turner is your rim protector. Bogdanovich is the same height as Thaddeus young and played some at the 4 this past season. The Pacers want a stretch 4. Playing Ingram and Bogdanovich together would give them the more scoring they want, and they wouldn't have to worry about paying both Sabonis and Turner $18mm per season in 2021, one of them is likely to be traded.

I don't see the Pacers making any trade until closer to the trade deadline. They have to wait and see what Sabonis does with his extension offer next month, and when or if Oladipo can play. The Pacers want Sumner to play this season. If Sabonis turns down his extension, I think Sabonis for Montrezll Harrell would be fair. Clippers get a center and Pacers would get a true power forward. Both were runners up in 6th man of year award and salaries match. If Oladipo comes back healthy, Lamb could be available.

Pacers definitely won't help the Lakers after the Paul George episode.

The 1st tier free agents don't want to play "for" LeBron. It's well chronicled. Unless you belong to Rich Paul, playing with LeBron isn't worth it. You'll get traded. I hope Portland wins the west.

The Pacers had Turner working out to improve his strength last summer. They have publicly said he needs to improve in the Indianapolis Star. Coach McMillan said in his post season analysis that the Pacers will be looking to improve scoring this summer. Sabonis is the better scorer and rebounder. Myles is the better defender. Sabonis will make $4mm is nd iksup for an extension in August. Turner will make $18mm next season. It's not likely the Pacers will pay both $18mm per season.

Myles Turner led the NBA in blocks, but he's a poor rebounder because he's not physical enough. Bagley would have the same problem.

If the Lakers don't trade the pick, they'll take Garland. Rich Paul is his agent and he's been playing with LeBron.

Pacers don't like dealing with Danny Ainge.
