WE KEEP BRUNSON! Since Houston will not sign with Shumpert - we have it! Shumpert is a good 3 & D guy, that can still slash in the paint.

It is what Dallas needs to share the sport with Curry!

Shumpert is strugling somehow but I think Mavs can offer him a great opportunity, by giving him the same contract that Maxi has but with restriction on money!

Sign Iman Shumpert 4y 36m - he will be happy! But to prove his 3&D value he gets:
- 3 m are garanteed
- 3 m coming from more than 1 steal a game per 36 minutes
- 3 m coming from more the 42% shooting and 35% 3point shooting a game per 36 minutes

Finally Mavs have all the tool to trade for Dummond:

Toronto:
- Hardayway
- 2nd Mavs 2020
Detroit:
- Ibaka
- Justin Jackson
- 1st Mavs
Dallas:
- Drummond
- (signs Shumpert)

Voila!

Voila! No.

I get that we all over value players on our teams, I'm probably guilty of that too. But why do you think the Raptors would trade Ibaka for Hardaway. That's a lateral move at best.

I question whether the Raptors would even do that, let alone the Pistons. Outside Luka, Kristaps, and maybe Powell, none of the Mavs have any real value. And that pick won't be for years.

The Drummond trade is BS and has been for a while. But I am also trying to figure out where the cap space exists to sign Shumpert to a $9 mil per year deal. Dallas is over the salary cap and doesn't have a mid-level exception available to SIGN Shumpert.

Mavs have a Trade Exception that is more than 9m a year. So Houston will always agree to a S&T, since they will create a 9m trade exception for the Rockets!

Raports have Gasol for a year. Ibaka is 29/ 30 and he playes only 20 minutes anymore. Siamka is the go to guy already and he plays PF. But with Leonard leaving, Raports will miss a lot outside shooting. Maybe not on the high percentage, but exactly that is what Hardaway is good in! And if he stay health he is a good scorer and that has the physics to be a good defender and he can create his own shoot and make plays! I would always keep him, but Mavs have a lot of shooting and hence he is trade chip.

To say the Mavs have no value beside Magic/ Porzee shows a lot. There are good role players or at least very good backup players that any team needs.

I agree. The Raptors don't really need Ibaka. I just feel like Hardaway hasn't proven himself enough as a defender or as a scorer to really be worth the trade.
