Toronto Raptors trade Ibaka and Powell and 2022 first round pick

Boston Celtics trade Hayward.

Boston gets a mobile center/power forward and a bench wing.

Raptors get a scoring wing. who can start in the back court with lowry OG and siakim.

Hayward is a negative asset. He's not at all playing like a max player, even if he plays better than last year.
If Boston wants Ibaka and Powell for him they have to send 2 Firstrounders to unload Hayward and one Firstrounder for each of them.

You’re both wrong. It’s probably a fair trade with no picks at all.

All the Hayward hate comes from people who would want him on their team. Fact is, Hayward is close to being what he was in Utah, but this year's Celtics are not built that way. GH is now a facilitator and second/ third scoring option. He can guard multiple positions and every game he seems to get back a little more explosiveness. The only way Boston would trade him is to get a top-quality center in return, and there aren't many of them in the league today. So no, Ibaka and Powell wouldn't get it done.

@Supercolider:
A fact is that Hayward is still far away from being what he was in Utah, especially on defense. He's not playing like a max player should.

How does this deal help the Raptors win more games or a championship? Also their payroll will be horrible next year. And how would their rotation at Center and PF look like?

So my answer to your first sentence; "All the Hayward hate comes from people who would want him on their team. " is that all the Hayward love comes from desperate Celtics fans who don't want to accept that Hayward won't be the player again he was 3 years ago.

I like this trade without the pick.

Ps3004.
When is the last time you saw Hayward play? Did you ever eee him play? I don't know why you are such a hater. But that is all it is. Do you hate for spurning your team?
However, he won't be traded because the Celtics don't wany to trade him. He has played fantastic so far this season. The problem is, he is not the first or 2nd option. But, he makes plays, passes incredibly and plays with no fear.

yous are all wrong. hayward can shoot and play needs to be second option not 3rd or 4th. for him to get back into form. ibaka can provide solid defense and some offensive. powell needs a new start and coming off the bench would be best no second guessing it like in Toronto. this trade would help the Raptors on offense. there terrible and need help now. freddy can be one of the best 6th man in the league but they have him starting next to lowry. they need a wing guard who can shoot and score. gasol is valued more then what he produces and they need that. ibaka is an over payed back up.

@JoeB: So if I don't see Hayward playing up to a max contract I'm a hater?! That's a special take.

I saw him play 3 times already. Yes, he's better than last year, but his D is average and offensively he's good. But also player like Covington or Porter are on that level. So why should Toronto overpay for a good roleplayer on a bad contract. Everybody here is saying OKC has to add picks while taking on bad contracts to get rid of CP3 who's playing better so far, so where comes the big difference from? And also nobody of you told me how the deal helps Torontos big man rotation, especially in the PO and next season after adding the 34 million of Hayward?

06 Nov 2019 10:42:23
You are a hater. You are a broken record when it comes to Hayward. It's almost like you cut and paste your response. It's alwaysvthe same.
Btw. let me ask you, does everyone that gets a max contract play like it? No, they do not. So. your venom toward Hayward seems more personal.

06 Nov 2019 23:40:21
I think Hayward is definitely a good player but like you said, doesn’t play like a max player and in my opinion is not worth trading if I’m the raptors. It’s not worth giving away assets to get a good player that would put their pile of cap space in jeopardy.

1 1st from boston. If raps trade ibaka and powell, their bench takes a massive hit. if gasol/ siakam/ hayward/ fvv/ lowry start, Og is 6th man and that leaves terence davis as 7th man. While davis is having a graet start he isn't someone to bet your whole team on.

09 Nov 2019 20:55:56
they need offensive and there bench is already thin. powell isn't doing anything. and with powel gone maybe johnson will step up or davis. boucher can provide 10 minutes to 15 a game. and gasol will have to play big minutes untill then bring in more help. up front.
