Timberwolves-Warriors-Cavaliers

Wolves get D'Angelo Russell, Matthew Dellavedova, Willie Cauley Stein and Alec Burks
Warriors get Robert Covington, Jordan Clarkson, Naz Reid, MIN's 2021 1st round pick and MIN's 2023 1st round pick (top-5 protected)
Cavs get Gorgui Dieng and Jarrett Culver

* Wolves get its second scorer/floor general. Warriors find themselves below luxury tax line, and acquire reliable role players plus future assets. Cavs pick up a young wingman.

Minn giving up a yound asset, covington and 2 first for Russell?

Can you say overpay?

Fredman, they’re also getting off Dieng.

For Minnesota, the second draft pick (or Culver) is more valuable than "getting off Dieng" as "quality" FAs don't sign with the TWolves so they don't need to worry about future cap space (also considering Teague's expiring deal) .

Russell is ranked #466 of 467 nba players in DEF WS.

I think the Warriors made a huge mistake paying 1.5 firsts and Iguodala And hardcapping themselves to save their Kevin Durant slot. Russell is vastly overrated. Yes, he made the all star team - sort of . as an injury replacement in the East.

Yes he led the Nets to the playoffs . with a 42-40 record, playing a weaker east-heavy schedule.

Injuries forced the Nets to feature him. Russell is very un-athletic, he can’t get to the rim or create his own shot, and he is a defensive sieve. And on top of this, he has a max deal for five years.

I don’t think it will be long before people realize this is one of the ten worst contracts in the league.

Did you see Dieng in WAS, when he was finally put back in the starting line up?

06 Nov 2019 15:46:10
He's on a max second contract. It's just not the same as a 10 year vet's contract.

You're comparing defensive win shares on 5 games? Really? You don't think that's a bit overdramatic?

It’s hard to even judge any of the individual d on the Warriors. They have no perimeter defenders and Looney and Draymond both have missed time. He was alright on a a Brooklyn team that was only decent defensively.
