If Davis is to go to Chicago next summer, he's going to need a max slot to be available. Or do a sign and trade. I thought this was interesting.

Okc gets Porter, Markkanen
Chicago gets Gallinari, Roberson, 2020 Denver 1st

This opens up around $30M in cap room for Chicago plus a pick to help them dump salary to someone else. Gallinari is playing well this season and could help them stay competitive and attractive to Davis.

Okc gets another young building block in Markkanen who can grow with SGA and Bazley. The Denver pick most likely won't be great and they won't be able to keep all those picks anyways. Plus, this trumps them below the luxury tax I think.

Why would Davis go to Chicago next year? Maybe few years from now, not next year.

Because there have been reports out there that Chicago is where he wants to be. Reports are like gospel. they are always right. Hahahaha Hahahaha.

The Thunder are surprisingly a lot better than all the experts said they would be. Learning curve at the beginning of the year cost a few wins, but defensively they are already one of the best teams in the league. SGA is a star. Gallinari will be traded bc of his expiring contract. Schroeder and Paul have played great. Okc doesn't have to do anything and will make the playoffs, even when Gallinari is gone. Teams will have to pay to get Okc players, not the other way around. Good now + all those picks = dynasty...

I’m not the biggest Otto Porter fan, but he has value because there are so few adequate SF’s out there.

If CHI needed to clear cap space, they could trade him for an expiring without giving up Markannen.

OKC is 3-4 and has beaten the two worst teams in the NBA. That team is not that good. The only way they make the playoffs is if a few teams have horrible injury issues (Portland already looks like a good candidate to be one of those teams) .

Paul is averaging 15 and 4. He's having the worst season of his career (minus his unsustainable shooting from 3). And he's only going to get worse as the season wears on, that's what guys in their mid 30's do.

Okc doesn't need Paul to win making his stats irrelevant. SGA and Schroeder are better point guards. Playoff bound after hardest starting schedule in the NBA.

Davis is going to Chicago after he wins a ring in LA and the bulls are more developed. Which is not this year .
