Probably too many moving parts, but I'd like to see a version of this unfold for the Thunder. First a big one.

Phoenix gets Gallinari

Heat get Paul, Nader, Burton, Denver 2020 1st

Okc gets Johnson, Dragic, Olynyk, Waiters, Saric

-Heat get Paul which is long rumored... without putting any of their young studs and get one first. Think it's fair.
-Phoenix should bolster for a playoff run. They look good. They should look to add a guy like Gallinari who'd fit great with both Ayton and Baynes. He is essentially a rental. But a good one.
-Okc gets two guys they can flip later as expiring deals (or keep and pay some of their young guys/swing for someone else young in FA). Olynyk could play a similar role to Gallo. Waiters played alright in okc before and is an add in after all the trouble he's caused so far. Saric is the prize and should be retained in okc for the next 6-8 years with SGA.

Then.

Memphis gets Adams, Roberson

Okc gets Iguodala, Crowder, Jackson

-Memphis cashes in on Iggy. Adams fits their timeline ok and brings that classic grit n grind. If Dre never comes back, ok. $10M expiring is cool too.
-Okc buys out Iguodala. He goes to Lakers. He deserves a shot at another title. Saves Okc a bit of money. Crowder and Jackson beef up the wings.

Finally.

Knicks get Johnson, Dragic, Noel

Okc gets Randle, Gibson, Ellington, future pick

-Knicks get a bunch of expiring money and a mulligan on the offseason. Lose a pick but also alleviate the pf logjam.
-Thunder cash in on Knicks mistakes and bring in some toughness plus a pick (replaces their Denver pick they surrendered in Paul swap).

Eventual lineup

SGA, Schroeder, Waiters
Ferguson, Diallo, Ellington
Crowder, Bazley, Jackson
Saric, Gibson, Muscala
Randle, Olynyk, Patton

***Most importantly, they go beneath the tax line and save lots of money.

Agree1 Disagree6

Second trade ain't happening. Memphis doesn't need Adams when they have Valancius and JJJ.

First trade not happening neither okc is not giving Miami paul for all them players maybe for Meyers Leonard and Goran Dragic and I don’t like the Phoenix trade neither I don’t like Saric he only can shoot he is awful posting guys up and I think okc is gunna get another 2020 pick and a player or two.

Cwalk, the Thunder would give up Paul for any combination of players.

02 Dec 2019 23:54:16
No chance for any of those trades. OKC is a game out of playoffs with tough opening schedule. As stated, teams will have to pay for OKC players, not vice-versa.

Disagree. OKC isn't going to make Miami better when the have two first round Miami picks. Miami fans, please stop. You're not getting Paul. Move on. Paul is playing great by the way.

Id rather take the Milwaukee Bucks okc thunder trace that was proposed already

Milwaukee gets- Chris Paul helps them tremendously in the playoffs and I like the fit with Giannis that’s a dangerous duo

Thunder get- Eric Bledsoe and second round picks

Thunder duck the tax get a good point guard in Bledsoe and add more draft capital and then should trade Schroeder for whatever they think they can get and I think he can pull in something decent and get a power forward call up Orlando and offer them a pick and gallo for Aaron Gordon.

Presti is too smart to trade picks before seeing where they land. OKC is set for the next fifteen years with their warchest of picks which every team wants a piece of. Every team knows this which is why they want a piece of the warchest.
