I don’t see why nance and Bazemore would be involved. That past doesn’t make much sense for either team.

Way too much from Portland. Cleveland is going to have to give up picks, not Portland, to move Love's massive contract.

The Cavs just wouldn’t trade him in that scenario. They don’t have the assets to do something like that. That said, Love is 31, can play pf and center, the deal is less than 30 million towards the end, offensively he fits in on about any team, and there are a lot more buyers than sellers. You can plug him in as a 3rd option offensively and you don’t have to give him a ton of touches to be effective. Even without the ball, he’s keeping defenses honest and helping you’re play makers. I think someone is going to talk themselves into him.

Cleveland won't be including picks to get rid of Love. Anyone that thinks that should actually read opinions of Love from inside the NBA. They will get some value back for him, guaranteed.

Also, Love's contract is really not that huge compared to the supermaxes out there. He's currently the 22nd highest paid player in the NBA. By the end of his contract, he'll be making about 60% of a max contract. If you think Love making 60% of a max deal is overpaid, you're nuts. Compare Westbrook at 47 million vs Love at 28 in 2022.

That said, yeah, I don't think Nance, Bazemore, and the second first need to be involved. Just Whiteside and a first for Love.

I think blazers will get more production with nance and love then Bazemore and Whiteside. But I will take Thompson over nance because blazers have Collins long term. Thompson love for Whiteside and Bazemore plus two first.

Love is good for maybe 50 games a year. Cleveland will have to include picks to dump him or the g. m. who trades for him should be fired.
