Why would Minny want McCollum? He's a mid career borderline all star, he has little upside left, and doesn't fit any rebuilding timeline.

Also, trading McCollum for Towns is really counterproductive in my eyes. Obviously Towns is better, but a Lillard/ Towns duo isn't good enough without a third star (McCollum) to compete for a championship.

3 firsts, a player worth a mid-late first (Little), a player worth about a mid lottery pick (Simons), and a top 10 center that's only 25 (Nurkic) is about the same as the AD trade value.

Has the fan perception been skewed by the OKC/ LAC trade? Cause that was an anomaly. There's no way teams give up more for Towns than OKC got for George. The reason: the Clippers effectively got Leonard in the trade too.
