Towns is a nice player, but there is no way on God's green earth that the Celtics are going to give up two possible all-stars and four No. 1s for him. Toronto would jump on that deal, though -- getting Hayward, Kanter and a pick for a washed-up Gasol.

Tatum- Towns is a playoff run for the next ten years.
So those Boston picks would be late first.

I like this deal for Boston.

I would still say no if I was MIN. It is too hard for a team like Minnesota to find a superstar like that. A couple players that are good (not great), one MEM pick, and picks running far into the future from a good team like BOS is unlikely to replace him. He’s locked up for five years, and MIN probably wants to squeeze every ounce of value out of that time.

I just noticed BOS wants Covington too. This is not enough.

Toronto says No. Kanter will never be the defensive player that fits the Raptors identity. Nurse would never let him see the floor.

1 C fan over valuing Celtics players to get Towns.

Covington > Hayward and Brown.

Sorry but Celtics don't have the resources to trade for Towns without Tatum and Grizzlies picks combined.

06 Jan 2020 14:55:53
If Boston wasnt willing to give up all that for Anthony Davis, why woukd they give it up for KAT?

06 Jan 2020 15:12:29
Fredman - Because Towns can't leave after 1 years like Davis could.

06 Jan 2020 15:54:53
Control over him is longer. Having Kemble kat and Tatum is 50 wins a year for 5 years without any improvement.

06 Jan 2020 16:04:19
I love how extreme Boston and anti-Boston people are. It's hard to even contribute to a conversation. They're both always quite a bit off true value.

Are you still counting Hayward as a "possible all star"? In a trade, his value sits about the same as Whiteside (a large contract, with no valuation to talent on the floor) .

And in what world is Covington better than Brown? The world that you haven't watched basketball this year?

06 Jan 2020 16:38:36
I would agree with you BMiller, but i think most everyone on here over values yheir teams players.

06 Jan 2020 18:52:06
Turner from pacers would be better idea. He is cheaper and easier to trade. Pacers have sabonis and they can trade turner easily. And it won't cost much like Towns.

Raptors need a good rebounder.

Add '21 '23 1st swap rights from BOS to MIN.
