If Knicks want starters for real, what about something like this...
Knicks get Paul, Muscala
***Take a chance on Paul remaining as great this season as he has so far. Maybe the magic continues and this unclogs the pf logjam issues.
Thunder get Randle, Morris, Knox, 2023 Dallas 1st
***Getting a first plus anything is a win for OKC to ditch the contract. Paul is great. And he's doing awesome in OKC. But a team controlled rookie deal is hard to pass up. Plus, with Noel and Gallo out recently, it has exposed the lack of big depth.
Then.
Celtics get Noel, Nader
***Nader played in Boston before, but this should solve the C woes for Boston. Noel has played great this season and his contract is super minimal. Small risk.
OKC gets Langford, Williams III
***Get younger and cash in on a guy probably leaving next year anyways.

OKC would be lucky to get half that haul for Paul.

Yeah, I don't see a young player or a first coming back for Paul, no matter how he's playing for OKC right now. His value has peaked at expiring contracts (and I'm not sure any team exists that would actually trade expiring contracts for him) .
I don't see why NY does this, outside of the fact that they're just run poorly and make bad decisions.

No chance.
Not anywhere close to a Danny Ainge kind of deal for Boston and there’s no way the Knicks would tie up that kind of money in 2021 with Chris Paul.
They set it up so they could release many of the “logjam†PF players next year if they choose to at no additional cost to them.

Noel is no better than Theis and Kanter, so there's no reason to bring him on board. Not sure why OKC would want Langford or Williams, who are both always hurt.

Bmiller- cp3 could help Robinson and Barrett thrive. They may win a little more while giving up guys taking touches from young guys.
