Remake the Knicks! Seemingly, they want to add starters and be competitive immediately. Only a few of those types available to my knowledge. Here are a few deals to make that happen.

Cavs get Portis, Morris, Dallas 2021 first
***A first, expiring, and bigs for Love. I think that's probably enough to get Cavs to play along.

Knicks get Love, McKinnie
***Love is a starter level guy that fits the mold of what the Knicks are at least saying they want. McKinnie is in for money.

Then.

Jazz get Randle
***Jazz lack a true starting 4 besides Ed Davis. This is an upgrade to have a more traditional lineup.

Warriors get Bogdanavic, Ellington, 2023 Dallas 1st
***More splash for the Warriors. Bogdanavic is under contract for 4 years and can be a better fit than Russell. Ellington in for depth. The pick plus Ellington could net another rotational guy this summer as they make their comeback tour.

Knicks get Russell, Smailagic
***Another starter level guy who can fill it up and no one believed to stay on his current roster all year. A Love-Russell tandem is interesting at the least, and they are in a weaker East. They retain all their own picks and young guys. And biggest of all, less logjam at he PF spot.

Love makes zero sense for the Knicks. They should stay the course and use their 1st rd picks and add talent to build a young upcoming team. Love would be best suited gor a contending team.
