4 teams trade

Charlotte- horford, sixers 22 first round pick

New York Knicks- Chris Paul

Sixers- Gibson, Ellington, Payton

Okc- Batum, Bullock, Ntilikina, okc pick back

Charlotte get rid of Batum and get a pick for taking horford's contract.

New York get what they want.

Sixers send horford's huge contract and get 3 expiring contract.

Okc get their pick back. They send pauls 85 million contract and get expiring with Batum and salary relief for next year. They can use Ntilikina and Bullock from bench.

Knicks not trading for cp3. They will land him next yr on a buyout at the end of the season.

Booker Embiid and Valanciunas will be traded for.

There isn’t any chance Paul is bought out of two years and 85 million after this year with the success OKC had and the fact that he had a decent resurgence. If he declined his player option in the buyout, maybe. But he’s not throwing 44 million away.

Lmao @ miller it's a buyout not cancellation of contract. if on 3/ 1/ 21 okc buyout could be for 30 of 50 Mil remaining. If he sign with Knicks. He can get 2yr 35 mil extension. With front office job paying millions afterwards.

OKC isn’t buying Paul out with 2 years left on the deal and just having 40 plus million in dead money for 2 years.

Paul isn’t leaving 10s of millions on the table.

Buyouts are usually 80% of deal so player can go elsewhere. Cp3 is in a Greer team than knicks so why give up 25 million to lose/ rebuild?

09 Mar 2020 01:08:42
15 yrs after knicks convinced Allen Houston to retire to save money, he is still part of organization. CP3 is the same thing if he buyout to join the knicks. Conley also.

09 Mar 2020 01:32:59
But why would OKC buyout that much money and leave a 40 million chunk of dead cap space for the next year? If the Knicks want him and he wants the Knicks, it would either be decline that option year and take a buyout (unlikely) or trade. It’s not like he’ll be untradeable that offseason when he’s an expiring contract.

09 Mar 2020 01:55:26
If Paul gets bought out he can accept 50 of the 80 mil and make that up by signing a contract for 2 years 30 mil just saying. That will help okc build through the draft with all that dead money and not having to sign anyone.

09 Mar 2020 04:31:53
44 million dead cap space is helpful to OKC? Really? That’s the logic you’re finding? They wouldn’t rather have a massive expiring contract they can flip?

09 Mar 2020 06:53:09
Why would Knicks even trade for both Embiid and Valanciunas?

10 Mar 2020 21:36:37
I can tell now that okc never would buy out paul and have that much money on the books they would trade him before they done that or just keep him that just never going to happen and Paul isn’t going to risk losing out on money either especially with the Knicks and all there drama and the way they fire people he wouldn’t even risk that change with them even if he was to get a buyout but like I said never ever will that happen our gm in okc is not stupid.
