Regular season would have to be over by July 7th so that Golden State can take use the trade exception from the Iggy to Memphis trade since Golden Stste is projected to be over the salary (and luxury tax) line for next season.

And then obviously we are not talking about GS 2020 pick or Minny's 2021 pick going to Bulls.

Yeah, I think all things like exceptions will get an extension. Seems unfair for it to expire before free agency starts.

Since its a CBA thing, both sides would have to agree. Not sure that negotation goes smoothly.
