here's a trade that works.

Raptors get hayward and kanter

boston gets Gasol and Powell and first round pick.


raptors would have

lowry
hayward
OG
siakim
Ibaka.

many bench
Freddy
davis
RHJ
Boucher

bring in some vets to round out back up center and SF positions

boston gets a proven vet in the middle and resign him to cheaper contract. while getting a first rounder pick and Powell as a bench player.

gasol

powell as sixthman while bring in other cheaper contracts to round out the roster.

Gasol is a UFA so its a trade that does not work. Additionally, Heyward has to opt in (probable) . And Raptors woukd be getting the first, not giving one up.

Gasol has looked cooked at times this year. And the last thing Boston needs is more No. 1 draft picks.

gasol would be a great fit. boston plays small anyways with a guy like gasol he would play 25 minutes while bring a faster small center off the bench walker and gasol would kill team. Raptors need another scoring wing with range and hayward is still young enough to have a good 5 more seasons. with lowry close to done freddy hayward and siakim can be the next 5 years for the raptors while adding those vets like they did to win.
