Dac, I don’t think there’s much more value at 1 than there is at 5. This draft just doesn’t have the high end talent at the top. There are some high ceiling guys at the top, but most of these guys have really low floors too.

Going from 5 to 3 took a first two years ago. Assuming 3 to 1 takes another first. So you’re talking about more than two firsts worth of value to move from 6 to 1.

That also defines Barrett. He’d be in the conversation of top pick, but he’d just be another name in the crowd if he were in this draft.
If a team wants to trade up, it’s because they REALLY want one of these guys. In that case, the pick has tremendous value, and you have to pay for that value.

Look at boston-philly dallas-atlanta trades. You have to add 1 first round pick to trade up 2 spots. This trade is not very good but if you want 1. Pick you have to pay the prize. And why warriors want portis. Ä°f you send portis on deal you have to attach picks not take.

RK, To me it's a 3 to 4 deep draft then it drops. Knicks are probably 6th. that's why I thought they'd need Barrett or Robonson.
